Do You Want To Be Healthy? Let's Get Started!


I want to walk you through the phrase that I get asked all the time, "How do I just get started?"...


I'm going to give you some steps on how to get started. If you've been here for a while but have fallen off the wagon, I want to give you a couple of tips, whether it's getting started or staying focused.


Do you consider yourself more keto or more low-carb?

Many people don't sustain keto but can manage low-carb or be carb conscious. Here are the basic steps on how to get started or how to get restarted and get back on track.


Do you need help with your health journey?


I talked to tons of people on this trip and I've heard so many stories about how people got started. When I got started, it wasn't with a crazy diet, it wasn't tracking all of my macros, it wasn't weighing my food. My husband actually did that for two years, but how I got started was with a pack of ketones.

If you've heard me share about ketones, I call it my mom fuel. But it's not just for moms, it's for anybody. You put it in a shaker bottle, mix it with water, shake it up, drink it under an hour, and in under an hour your body's in ketosis. So I get to help people experience ketosis without doing keto.


Ketones give you better energy, I haven't taken a nap in over eight years.


I joke about it, but it's for real. The energy is incredible, it helps you with your mood and turns your brain on, and turns off your appetite. I'm not snacking all day, I have the energy to keep up with our kids, I homeschool all four girls, and I feel amazing. I have tons of science and research I'd love to share with you.

1. WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING?


What's in your shaker bottle?

What's in your coffee cup?

What's in your can?


Let's eliminate some of the sugar that you're drinking. So look at what you're drinking, I drink ketones, water, and protein. So many people are over-drinking sugar. The amount of sugar and different things they're drinking is almost equivalent to the calories they should have their entire day. So let's look at what you're drinking.


2. DRINK MORE WATER


You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water.


3. ONE MEAL AT A TIME (INTERMITTENT FASTING)


Take it one meal at a time. Think about what you're going to eat for breakfast. Are you going to do intermittent fasting or eat breakfast? I have been intermittent fasting consistently, almost every single day. Maybe not on a Saturday or Sunday, but I have been consistently doing it almost every day, since Christmas.


I used to dabble and do a couple of days here and there, but our company has dove into intermittent fasting. I was taught the power of intermittent fasting, why it's so important for your body to rest, for your metabolism to reset, and let your body process. It helps with so many things whether it's helping you with your fat loss.


Intermittent fasting helps with brain health, or just your overall body health, and fat loss. You can Google it, and check it out, I'd love to help you with that. I want you to remember that you have a choice every day.


You've got big goals like losing 50 or 60 pounds and feeling better. Summer's just around the corner, and you probably would like to look and feel a certain way. Every day you have a choice...


What you're going to eat?

What are you drinking?

Are you going to make an excuse?

Are you going to hold yourself accountable?

What is your best option for lunch or dinner?


You can take the buns off the burger, croutons off the salad, or grab a lettuce wrap. You can also visit our blog, ketomomsecrets.com, click on recipes, or the Book club. We haven't gone through a book yet in the last couple of weeks, but I usually do a book in the morning to help you with your mindset.


You can also click on trial packs for ketones, you can check out what I'm drinking every single day. I want you to be mindful, because most people come to me saying they're eating Keto, tracking their food, and eating the right foods, but they're actually overeating.


So after you evaluate what you're drinking, try to decide if you're going to do intermittent fasting, have a low-carb breakfast, or have more protein. For lunch and dinner, do the best that you can like take the buns off the burgers, have less pasta and rice, more protein and veggies, or protein and a salad.


4. MOVE YOUR BODY


I would encourage you to move your body and try to get 10,000 steps. If you're at 3,000 don't jump to 10,000, work on it. Movement doesn't have to be hours in the gym, physically walking will help you.


"If you're not hungry, you don't need to eat".


Your body will tell you when you're hungry or sometimes trick you because you see the food, but you don't need to be snacking all day. You don't need to be eating every two hours. We've been told that it builds up your metabolism, which it doesn't. Your body actually needs to rest, and you don't need to be eating all day long, even if it's keto or low-carb snacks.


So as you are deciding to go grab something to eat, ask yourself this...


Am I hungry or bored?

Am I hungry or am I emotional?

Is this my meal or am I just eating because everybody else is eating?


You will start making better decisions and better choices. As you make these better choices you will become more aware and mindful of the food that you're eating and drinking. I would say accountability is huge. You can send me a message any time and ask any questions. You can also ask your friend, your coworker, or your sister to hold you accountable.
