Do you say Hotdish or Casserole?
3 cups green beans, washed and trimmed
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup cooked crispy bacon
3/4 cup chicken stock (or beef)
1 cup heavy whipping cream
5 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
In a large skillet, melt the butter, then add garlic, cook in low heat around 2-3 mins
Add the chicken broth and simmer for 3 minutes, then add the cream.
Let it thicken, then season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
Cook green beans in a cup of water for about a minute (if you want extra tender beans) then drain water
Remove the cream sauce from the heat and add the green beans and mix.
Pop them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
Remove from the oven
Top it with Parmesan and bacon.
Yes, it's that simple
