Hey! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie and we're going to talk about, "Do I have to eat all that fat?", "What happens if I can't eat eggs?", "What if I don't like bacon?", "Do I have to eat all that cheese?" We're just going to go over a basic overview of food... So as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? The main question is, "Are you an over-the-top decorator at home, with all of the fun festive holidays, or are you a minimalist?" I need to know, this is very serious. Do you have crazy decorations all over your house, or do you like to have a little bit just to get by?...
I'm going to be real honest with you, I have a little bit to get by. I'm really not big on decorating or designing. If anybody asks me, "How does that pink color look?", or "Should I use this on my wall?"... It's just not my gift to make things look pretty. I'm not saying that I won't try, but it's just not something that I'm talented at. I always have to get somebody to help me... Anyways! Is your house looking like a present blew up, or is it looking like mine? I would love to know.

Here's what I want you to know and I say this often, this is not a one-size-fits-all. You can't go buy a twenty-eight-day keto diet plan and expect it to work the same way it works for you, like your spouse or your friend.
The keto diet, I'm not talking about low carb or lazy keto, but the actual keto diet is generally eighty percent (80%) fat, and five percent (5%) carbs. In general, if you're doing the diet you're going to eat more fat. Why? Fat keeps you fuller longer, and it helps you throughout the day.
What are some good fats? You have Dairy, but you can still overeat dairy. There are some fatty meats, nuts, avocado, different salmon, different fish, and there are lots of other good fats... Real quick, I'm going to drink the liquid formula. But whether you're drinking the liquid formula or the powder one, it works the same. I drink it every day, the liquid one is sourer, and the powder one is sweeter...
Okay! Let's talk about "Fat". There are medical reasons, or for instance, somebody will say, "I don't have a gallbladder". By the way, I'm not a doctor but this is what I've learned... I have learned that if you don't have a gallbladder, you can't eat a whole bunch of fat, because your body won't be able to process it correctly. So the question is, "Can you still do Keto?"...
People look at the keto diet, and they think I have to eat bacon, butter, and all this fat. I look at it a little bit differently. I look at the keto diet as eating more proteins, veggies, salad, less junk, more whole-food, but not whole foods that are full of sugary carbs.
When I look at the Keto diet, I think of what I used to eat like the chicken nuggets, corndogs, and the Debbie snacks. Now, I think of eating more proteins, veggies, and salads. I can eat fat, like avocado and dairy, but dairy affects people differently... I don't want you to think, "I can't eat all that fat", "I hate eggs", or "I don't like bacon". I actually prefer turkey bacon to real bacon, it upsets my stomach... At the very beginning of our keto diet lifestyle transformation, I used to eat a ton of heavy cream and cream cheese. I soon found out that I actually can't do that because I get super bloated and I feel super thick. I want you to think about it in simple terms. If you don't like eggs, you don't have to eat eggs. If you don't like dairy, you don't have to eat a whole bunch of dairy.
Also, when women are working on losing fat, they probably really shouldn't overdo dairy. I would always ask over and over, "How much dairy are you eating?", "Is it for every meal, and every snack?". Then you're going to have to cut back on that a little bit. There are things that you can switch, especially if you want to do keto. If you can't do all that fatty meat, then do leaner meat.
The reason keto works is because the high fat keeps you full with the low carbs. If you're getting hungry, it's because you've dropped your fat and you're eating more lean meat. You should never look at this diet or lifestyle and say, "I can't do it", or "I don't like that. If you just take a step back and say, "I really want to eat more whole foods, more protein, more veggies, and more salads", "I'm going to cut back on everything that comes in a bag or a box", "I'm going to drink more water, less soda", "Coffee is fine, but I need to kick back on the sugar".
That's actually the real culprit. The carbs, and a ridiculous amount of sugar that people eat and just over-snacking. That's where people fall into this trap of gaining weight, plateaus, and not feeling good. It's really because of eating too much and just a lot of sugar... So, you don't have to eat eggs, because you can make things without eggs. If you can't eat fat, you might find yourself eating a little bit more because fat keeps you fuller longer. But it's okay, you can choose better options instead. Don't count yourself out if you don't like heavy creams or you can't eat dairy. You can eat leaner, and it's okay... Just so you know, I didn't dive into a keto diet or strict keto diet right away. I just drink ketones every single day. Also, you don't have to be strict with keto to drink the product.
Your body can make ketones if you do really high fat and really low carb. Or you can easily drink them, and that's why I drink them. It gives me energy, focus, and it helps with appetite control.
Once your body makes ketones, it uses them as a fuel source. For your energy, cravings, your brain fuel, and your muscles and helps control your appetite. It's incredible!...
Most people are drinking something, like energy drinks, protein shakes, or meal replacement shakes. I choose to drink ketones, for me it's a tool, it's an incredible tool. Somebody also said, "I'm a vegetarian". It's okay, you can still do this! I want you to think about it as cutting out the sugary crap and bringing in some whole foods, veggie salads, and protein. Then you're going to tweak it for what works for you. That's why it's so important to listen to your body, "Am I hungry?", "Am I bored?", "Am I thirsty?", "Am I emotional?", "Do I really need food?", or "What is my best option, and that's what I'm going to eat"...

It's an incredible book, and all of you should read it before you dive into the new year. It's going to give you the courage to do whatever you think you can't do...
Meaning, most of you count yourself out because you might feel, "I might not be able to go to the gym". Whatever you're not doing and you're not taking action on, this book is going to put you into action. I'm guessing a lot of you have some big goals, a big "Why", and you just need that little nudge.
