Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie and if you do not know that and you are brand new, I want you to post "New" in the comments so I can get to know you. I would love to get to know you, like "What are your goals?", "Why are you here?", or "What are you looking for?", so let me know. All right! We're going to do a three o'clock tasting and a Keto tip. I'm going to shake up my ketones as I do every afternoon and give you a Keto tip around restaurants.

Congratulations Deb Schnabel! You Won My Mom Fuel!
"What do I order?", "Where do I go eat?", "What should I eat tonight if I go on a date?", "Can I go out and eat keto or low carb?", or "Can I stay on track?"...

Those are the questions I get every weekend. Every time the end of the week comes around, people say, "I'm going to Chili's", "I'm going to Applebee's", or "I'm going out with my friends, can I stay on track?", "Can I possibly eat low carb at a restaurant?"... I want to say, "Yes, you can". Do you want to know what I love about restaurants?...

All right! I'm going to shake up my Mom Fuel, and talk about restaurants. I think I'm going to shake up "Maui Punch", I haven't had this one in a while. I love all the flavors, and I've been drinking them for six years. It's my Mom Fuel, and it's what keeps me awake. It gives me clean energy, and I feel incredible. I love the focus, I love the appetite control, I just love it all, I really do.

So as you're tuning in, I would love for you to press the share button. We have a new winner, "Deb Schnabel"! I wrote your name in the comments section, you won some Mom Fuel! To everybody, if you press the share button, let me know that you pressed the share button. Just say "I shared" below so that your name can go into a drawing for one of these trial packs. Deb, you won! Congratulations!... All right! Here's the question, I want to know whether you are going out to eat sometime over the weekend, like do you want to, or just you want to bank it up here. Where do you like to go, and what do you order?

Oftentimes I say, "Don't overthink it". There are better food choices if you make the food in your home, remember that. So you can't go out to eat, unless you go to a really fancy restaurant and it's like grass-fed beef, or that everything is made in the restaurant.
When Eating Out, Don't Overthink It

There are different levels of good, better, and best. Sometimes people are really particular about how many grams of sugar is in the dressing, and there are different things that you have to be aware of. You're choosing to go out, and have other people make your meal. That means you get to choose the best option possible, it doesn't really matter where you go.

Somebody said Outback, you can go to Outback and choose a steak, a veggie, or a side salad. Or it could be that you chose to grab the pasta, the potatoes, or eat the endless amounts of bread, you choose that. If you choose to go to a Mexican restaurant, you can grab the fajitas and keep the tortillas off. If you go to a burger place, you can take the buns off the burger, take the croutons off the salad, and request for the dressing on the side.

Do the best you can with dressing, like do an oil and vinegar, a ranch, or blue cheese. And again it's not going to be the kind you would make at home, but it is a better option. I always have to think like, "What is the best option", "How am I going to feel?", "Am I staying on track?", "What do I want to eat?", "Food is fuel", or "I want to enjoy myself"... If your goal is going out to eat and still eating better, then you choose. It doesn't matter where you go. I could even say this and you might disagree with me, but it is what it is.

Let's say that you went through the drive-thru at McDonald's. Let's say that it's not at a dinner date, but you're just in this situation where these are the only options available, you've got to feed everybody. So you're going to grab some burgers and you're going to go. What could you do? You could grab some cheeseburgers and take the buns off, and you could eat the burger, the meat, and the cheese. Now, this is where you might say, "But it's not 100% grass-fed beef". Correct, but in that situation, you can still make a better choice.

Ketones Can Help You Get Back On Track
So when I go out to eat, I always order water. It's all I ever drink at a restaurant, water. We may go out as a group of twelve people, and a majority of our friends are water drinkers, so we just order water. You don't have to get an appetizer, or the bread and chips brought to your table. Just take anything on the menu and make it fit what you're doing.

A protein and a veggie or a salad, dressing on the side, croutons off the salad, buns off the burgers, just choose a better protein and a veggie. Don't overthink it! It's so funny how often I get that question, "What should I eat? I don't want to screw it up". But what if you do? What if you decide to eat whatever you want?

The next day, just get back on track. Intermittent fast in the morning, drink a bunch of water all throughout your day and drink your ketones.

It's not a magic pill, but it does get you back on track. It helps with your appetite and your cravings. It's incredible! So just keep going, the only way you fail is if you quit. This is meant to be a lifestyle, not a diet. You aren't meant to get to the end, like the wedding date, vacation date, or the way your jeans fit... I heard somebody the other day say, "I can't eat that, but someday I'll eat it again". I didn't really say anything, but what I wanted to say was, "If you're working so hard at losing this weight, don't tell yourself someday you're going to eat that again. Don't tell yourself someday you're going to eat that whole pizza again". You can't change all these habits, reach the end destination and then go back to the old habits. It doesn't work that way. That's how we have that repetitive cycle. Like, vacation plans, hit the goal. Summer came, you then ate whatever you wanted. Then came Fall season, your pants didn't fit, so you did a little bit of a diet. Holidays came, and then start back in January...

Keto Is Meant To Be A Lifestyle, Not A Diet

The point of changing your lifestyle is you change the bad habits to where you've made a full pivot. It doesn't mean that you can never enjoy those things again, and it doesn't mean that you won't have that someday. But if your mindset is after reaching your goal, or after reaching this pants size, then you can eat whatever you want. Then guess what? You're going to come back next year, and we're going to start over again.

Food is fuel! Have awareness of what you're eating, what you're drinking, and how you're feeling. Is your body hungry, or are you bored? Things like, "I'm going to Applebee's. I know they've got a steak and veggies or I love their salad and I'll put the dressing on the side"... Whatever the case may be, you're in control. You choose it, so you order it however you want to, it's up to you. Cheers to you!...
