Hi everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, we are diving into a one o'clock tasting and a Keto tip. The Keto tips are the questions that you asked yesterday, I'm going to answer them today. So as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? I'm going to shake up my Mom Fuel, and I'm going to answer your questions for you. All right! If you're brand new, post "New" below. I want to connect with you, I want to know what your goals are, and help you on your journey. If you're not brand new, I hope you're having a great day. Thank you for always tuning in, your presence matters. I love seeing you hop on, I love sharing with you, and I wish I could say faces, too.

Time for your Keto Tip and Keto Tasting!
But anyway, we're going to talk about the questions of the day. The questions that got asked yesterday were, "To lose weight, what do my net carbs or total carbs need to be?. We're going to talk about weight loss, fat loss, and some food ideas. I had a lot of people say "I just need some new food ideas". I'm going to give you a concept around that.

And then "Is keto like low carb?", "What's the difference between keto and low carb?". Also, there were three questions about Ketones. "How often do I drink my ketones or My mom fuel?", "When do I drink them, and how quickly do I drink them?"... Those are the main questions, and I'll talk about my Mom Fuel as well. So how is your day? I'm shaking up one of these liquid flavors. I shook the same one yesterday because I'm a little obsessed with it. I'm not going to lie, I love it. Normally, I shake up a powder. I already had one of these early this morning before my workout at 6 A.M, and I'm having another one right now. I'll talk about Ketones first since I'm going to shake it up for you.

And then I'll head on to fat loss, food ideas, and then keto versus low carb. If you press the share button, let me know that you shared. I need you to actually tell me that you shared in the comments, like say I shared or shared. In yesterday's video, I wasn't able to pick any winners, because it won't show me the names. It showed a whole bunch of people shared, but I was not able to see the names, so I couldn't pick a winner. I'll do that today... For now, what I'm going to do is pop this baby open. I'm going to shake it in twelve to sixteen ounces of water. If it's too sweet, you can add more water. This one is sweet or sour. So if you want it less sour or less sweet, you just need to add more or less water. My husband uses twenty-four ounces of water, and I usually use twelve. It doesn't matter how much you use, it's up to you...

Ketones are a Fuel Source, and I drink it everyday

Okay! The three questions that I got asked were, first "How often do I drink ketones?". This is how I actually started our low-carb or keto lifestyle. I did not start by just taking out all the food. I did not take out all the food. I started with one meal at a time, one day at a time. One new recipe at a time, and one new vegetable at a time. It took me a solid year before I was felt like "I got this", "I can do this", "I can eat some vegetables"...

But what got me through the possible Keto flu, not eating bread, pasta, sugar, and my low energy, were Ketones.

I took my very first packet, and I shook it up. I was at a homeschool conference because we homeschool our four daughters. And I was probably the only mom awake at that three o'clock mark. I remember calling my husband and telling him, "I don't know what this is, but I love them. I need more of them"... That's all I knew, and then the more I've learned over the last six and a half years is that Ketones are a fuel source.

So every day I would drink one packet. I did not even touch fasting or intermittent fasting for years. I would eat bacon and eggs, sausage and eggs, or just some sausage. I would drink some water, drink my ketones, and then I'd be good for the rest of the day. I would eat a salad, or I would just do the best that I could without tracking my food right away, and I was just being mindful. Ketones gave me energy and appetite control. I didn't go through the Keto flu, and I felt incredible. I drink one every day, no matter what. And it doesn't matter what time you drink the NAT.

You could drink it in the morning if you're a morning person, and maybe you want to cut out your coffee. If you want to drink your coffee, it isn't bad, it's really not. It's actually all of the sugary stuff you put in your coffee.
Drink this in under an hour so you can get all the benefits

If you love your coffee, and you love your morning routine. Then I'll say drink it mid-morning, drink it before lunch or right after lunch. Maybe you have a time during your day, like at two, three, or four o'clock where you feel like you really need something to get you through your afternoon. Then I would say drink it after lunch.

I drink two a day now, but only because I'm not a coffee drinker or an energy drinker. So I drink one early in the morning as I'm working out, and I drink one later in the day, just depending on my day.

I've got a whole bunch of my nieces and nephews coming over, so I'm drinking it earlier. I need to go to the grocery store before they all come here. That's why I'm doing this at one o'clock instead of later. I drink two packets most days, but some days I'm fine with one, it just depends. It's a fuel source, like some of you drink a pot of coffee in the morning, afternoon, and evening. It's the same concept, but this is just clean fuel... When you shake Ketones up, and you don't drink it right away, it'll be fine throughout the day. But if you're going to drink it, I always tell people to try to drink it in under an hour.

The packet would say drink it within like twenty to thirty minutes. That way you can get the maximum amount of ketones in your system, that's helping you with your appetite control, your cravings, your energy, and your focus. It's really a brain fuel, and it's pretty incredible...

If you're asking other questions, just ask the questions below, and I'll come back to you. Alright! Whether it is the powder or the liquid, they work exactly the same. Drink it within thirty minutes, or under an hour, and get all of the Ketones in your system. Use it for your appetite control, energy, and all of the things that it does. It tastes great, and you will feel great. Those are the main questions about Ketones, but if you want to know more, then just post five in the comments...

This lifestyle is not a one-size-fits-all, there is no overnight success

Okay! Here are the questions that you asked about the Keto lifestyle or diet. If you want to know more, just post five in the comments. Or you can just head on to my website, I'm trying to remember which one works online.

You should be able to go to ketomom.com, but if you want trials, I also do different trial packs. You can get a variety of different flavors, just use your PayPal or Venmo and I'll give you five or ten different flavors for you to try. Give it a shot, and see what you think.

You and I are going to work together, I'm going to ask you things like, "What's your energy, your focus, or your appetite?". "What are your goals?", "How is your food?", "How can I help?", "How much water are you drinking". We're going to work together, just post five down below, and we'll chat.

Alright! Here's one of the questions from yesterday, "How do I lose weight?", or "How many Net carbs or Total carbs do I need to have?"...

I want you to know that this lifestyle is not a one-size-fits-all. And I'm not trying to be mean I promise, but you didn't gain the weight overnight, so you will also not lose it overnight. You have to pay attention to inches lost, clothes fitting differently, or being able to walk further, lift more weight, be more awake, and not get tired. Food plays a factor in all of those things. If your goal is fat loss, I know you want it done right now, but I need you to be patient and consistent. If you've got a lot of weight to lose, you might want to do more total carbs, so you can get used to not having as much sugar. It really just depends on your mindset... "Are you ready to rock and roll right now?", "Are you focused to do it?". Or are you okay with, "I'm going to do the best that I can", "I'm going to have a lifestyle approach", "If I mess up, I'm going to keep going"...

Be aware of what you're eating, track down your food

I would need to talk to you one on one, so I can give you some more guidance. But overall, if you're doing strict keto, it's under twenty carbs a day total. Now, some people's bodies are different and they can do more net carbs. If your goal is to do a net carb lifestyle, which is where you don't have to count the carbs. So this is a sugar alcohol, like Erythritol or this liquid Ketones has Allulose. You see, that won't spike your insulin, and you don't have to count it.

If you're eating a Keto bar, the Net carb would be, subtract the total carbs from fiber and sugar alcohol, and that should give you the Net carb. So instead of this Keto bar being twenty carbs, it might be only four, after you subtract all the fiber and sugar alcohol.

Some people just want to count net carbs, because you can eat more things realistically... You need to pay attention, sometimes we overdo keto packaged foods and keto snacks. We're cutting net carbs, but that can cause a stall as well... I challenge you, if your goal is true fat loss, it's great to track your food for just a little bit to have awareness of what you're eating. Use My Fitness Pal or a carb counter, and track your food for a couple of weeks. It'll show you at the end of the day if you might have eaten way more carbs than you thought, or it'll show that you're doing great. It gives you a visual of how much you're eating. You can visually see it on a plate, and it'll give you awareness...

You can also do the buns off the burgers, croutons off the salad, and grab a lettuce wrap. There are different things that you can do, but a strict ketogenic diet is under twenty carbs per day.

Again, everybody's a little different, some people can handle more dairy, while some can't. Some people can do net carbs, while some have to do total carbs. This didn't happen overnight, and it won't go away overnight. Pay attention to inches lost, and not just the scale...

I hope that was helpful, and if you send me a private message, I'll help you one-on-one. Okay! Food ideas. I had a lot of people say "I need some food ideas"... If you have other keto questions, ask them below. I'll get back to you tomorrow, or I'll message you tonight.

Alright! You can go to ketomomsecrets.com, there's a ton of recipes there. You can scroll through our Facebook page, or if you're more of an Instagram person, look for ketomomsecrets and scroll through. Click on the food that you want to make, and there's a recipe right in the header of the picture. Super easy!

And something I have to tell people about is a mindset. Prior to eating this way, I would get out a calendar and I would think of thirty different meals that our family needed to have. I was like, "We can't have chili, we already had that last week", "We can't have this, we had that two weeks ago". But then I realized one day, by the way for those who live in America, I just want to say we're a little spoiled. The fact that we get so bored with our meals, I actually feel ashamed. There is no reason why we should need thirty different meals. We shouldn't, because Food is fuel. I get that you might be bored of eggs, then just switch it up and have some sausage, bacon, or go look for a Keto pancake recipe. I get it! You don't want a salad, so then prep a little bit. Make yourself some chicken and cauliflower rice, or for dinners try out some of those recipes on ketomomsecrets.com. I totally understand, and I also really want you to have the mindset of "Food is Fuel".

I was really a brat when I was young!

I've said this for the last couple of weeks, we had the opportunity to meet and get to know a man named Timothy. He's a pastor and he runs an entire orphanage in Uganda. He was staying with our friends for a month, visiting our church and some other churches. We were talking about feeding the kids, and I mentioned this one time, and I really think it's powerful.

I hate that when I was younger, my mom would say "Eat your food!". I'd be like, "I'm not hungry, I don't want it". And she'd be like, "Eat your food, because there are children starving in Africa". As a young kid, I would talk back and say, "Pack it up and send it to Africa!". What a brat! That was me...

So I met somebody who legitimately feeds almost nine hundred kids a day, and I heard his stories of where they started and how the orphanages ran. I asked, "Do the kids ever get meat?". He's like, "Nope! They get porridge in the morning, and rice and beans hopefully once a day. If we have enough, then twice a day"... Rice and beans! The kids lived off of rice and beans, and they get a piece of meat about this big once maybe twice a year. Usually, when a mission team or somebody comes to visit, it's a special occasion. And I thought, "Wow!"... We here enjoy food, it's wonderful to bake, and we love Thanksgiving coming up. We love to enjoy food, it's an experience, it's like recreation for us. We have fun, we do it together, we use food as a reward, or as entertainment... I'm not saying that to make you feel bad, but I also want you to understand the concept of "Food is Fuel". These kids show up to eat because they need food to survive, and they need to live.

Take a step back and be Thankful for your food
So just take a step back, and be thankful for the food that you have. Don't get frustrated and throw it out the window, just because you're sick of eggs. Those eggs are really great for you!...

I was reading a book, I can't remember which one it was. It was either a book or a podcast about food, but that's another story. So we were learning about lots of things in our food, and how the animals are raised. Some of it is like, "What in the world?". Our industry is a mess!

But I will tell you, eggs are one of the healthiest things you can eat. It's great for you! So if you get sick of eggs, take them away for a couple of days and eat them again. It doesn't matter, they're good for you... I love eggs for a while, and then I feel like I have eggs every day. Like today I was like, "I'm going to eat an egg", "I know it's very good for me, so I'm going to eat it". I just want you to keep that in mind. Be thankful, enjoy your meals, and you don't need thirty different meals. There's no shortage of recipes, there really isn't...

So the last question was, "What is the difference between keto and low carb keto?".

I mentioned earlier that Strict Keto is under twenty carbs a day. So if you're going to do a true strict ketogenic diet, you're not going to be eating processed keto snacks. You're going to be eating protein, greens, veggies, salads, and a lot of fat. A true Keto diet is about eighty percent (80%) fat and under twenty (20) carbs a day. A low carb would be around fifty or sixty carbs under, and it could be Net carbs. You do not want to eat eighty percent (80%) fat if you're doing low carb, because you're going to overeat good food.

Keto Nat versus the Keto Pro

You should only eat when you're hungry because you can overeat good food. You can add a little bit of avocado with your eggs, the yolk is the fat, or you can have a handful of almonds for a snack. But you're not going to purposely seek out eighty percent (80%) fat if you're doing low carb. You're going to overeat, and you're not going to get the results that you want.

So strict keto is eighty percent (80%) fat, fifteen percent (15%) protein, and five percent (5%) carbs. While a low carb would be like, buns off the burgers, croutons off the salad, or I'm going to grab a lettuce wrap.

I'm going to make a conscious decision to not eat sugar, I'm going to drink more water, I'm not going to track my food, and I'll just do the best that I can... I hope that makes sense.

Somebody just asked, "What the difference was, between the Keto Nat and the Keto Pro?".

The Keto Nat is the number one product that we have. It's what I drink every single day, no matter what. It puts you in ketosis, and it gives you all of the benefits of having ketones in your system. This other one is called Keto OS Pro, it's actually a protein. I drink this sometimes after I work out, or for a light snack. But it's not a meal replacement. It has some ketones in it, but only like a third of them, not like the full pack. It just gives you some more ketones throughout the day, it's a Keto protein. If you want a video on this, and you're interested in protein, just send me a message and I'll get that to you. Otherwise, the Keto Nat is our number one product, and we also have supportive products that go towards a Keto low carb lifestyle. We've got the coconut oil, MCT oil, and we've got these different fasts and reboots. We've got protein, and then we also have cream for your coffee. So all of those are great, but this Keto Nat is the best...

For more information, post five in the comments
Any more questions that you have? Somebody asked, "What are you considered if you go back and forth from keto to low carb?".

I don't think you need to consider yourself anything. You don't need to have a label, you could just say you're doing Keto, or you might be doing low carb. Basically, you're watching the sugar, the carbs, eating less junk, and eating better foods.

So you could say you're keto, but I don't think it really matters. Most people consider themselves one and the same, but in reality, one's just more strict than the other one. All right, I'm going to let you go, and I'm going to drink my ketones. I have to go do some errands before I have lots of children in my house, which I love. If you have questions, ask below. If you press the share button, tell me your shared, and I will draw names for free Ketones tomorrow. I hope you guys have a great day! I appreciate you all. Post five in the comments if you want more information on Ketones. They're incredible! They're a tool and not a magic pill. Have a great day and we'll talk to you soon.
