Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie and I am going to talk about a bumblebee, but not really. But I read something that I thought was super interesting. You might already know this, but I had no idea. So as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? I'm going to shake up my afternoon ketones. We are rebooting here, and for those of you who don't know what a reboot is, let me ask you this first. Who does a fast or who normally fasts? We are doing the 60 Hour Keto Reboot.

We are all doing the 60 Hour Reboot!
It comes in the box, it's called the Keto Reboot System. I started Sunday night, and I'm ending tomorrow. What's inside the box? You have ketones, a broth for your lunch and your dinner, and drink your electrolytes. You will be doing that for sixty hours. And then after you break your fast or reboot, drink a protein shake or eat some eggs...

My husband is rocking it, he's way stronger than me. But it's going great, I'm just drinking plenty of water and staying occupied. My question to you today is, "Do you intermittent fast? Yes or no?". I actually prefer intermittent fasting. The longer you do it, the more you just get into the routine of not needing breakfast and just drinking ketones in the morning. But you might prefer to drink your coffee, and then you just go throughout your day and eat around lunchtime. We do a monthly 60 hour fast and there are a lot of different ways to do it. The point of doing a 60 hour fast is to reset your metabolism and reset your body. Fasting truly helps you understand that you don't have to be controlled by food, you are in control.


You shouldn't be controlled because the clock says you need to eat, or because you're emotional, or because the TV's on and you usually munch, or there's a candy drawer and you're bored. What I love about fasting is it really helps you have an awareness of, "Am I hungry?", "Am I bored?", or "Am I emotional?"... That's why I love doing the Keto Reboot because it really brings me back to paying attention to what my body is telling me. We're currently doing this reboot and we will be ending tomorrow. Our girls got Nerf guns for the first time and I think Amelia, our eldest, has been playing with it a little bit, just for fun. Anyways, this morning, I talked about mindset. We go through a book every morning, and I said you need to have an awareness of having tools in your tool belt. Examples of the tools are reading, mindset, and ketones. If you've never drunk ketones before, never had a trial pack, you don't even know what I'm talking about or you've never seen the videos. Ketones put you in ketosis in under an hour. It also helps with your energy, your focus, your appetite control, your fat loss, and your mood. Ketones help with sleep in the evenings, and they help with muscle preservation. That's why my muscles are going to be so big in the summertime, you just wait.

Here are some Keto tips for you today!

  • Number one: Drink your water. Half your body weight in ounces of water.

  • Number two: The tip is to flip. Flip over your food and just be aware of what you're eating.

  • Number three: Do not eat if you're not hungry. Your body will tell you if you're not hungry, or if you're hungry. If you're not fasting like us right now, then just eat when you're hungry.

  • Number four: Measure out your food. Especially things like nuts and almonds because it might say Keto on the package, but there is a serving size. It's very important because you can overeat good food.

  • Number five: Sleep is important. Sleep is a weapon. If you're not sleeping, your body will hold on to the fat. Stress and Sleep play a huge role in your fat loss. If you are stressed out, figure out how to meditate. Get into a quiet space, read or rest your mindset. If you are not able to sleep, get the phone out of your room, shut the lights off, and don't go to sleep with the TV on.

There are things you need to do to help you on your health journey. There are also topics on net carbs and total carbs. If you're doing strict keto, make sure you're drinking plenty of water and electrolytes. If you're doing lazy keto, make sure you're not overdoing fat. All of these things are tips for you every single day.

We also share recipes here, or you can go to ketomomsecrets.com where we uploaded recipes over the years. The most important and number one tip that I always talk about is awareness and mindset. When you have an awareness of your goals and what you want, you will be more focused. You don't have to mess up good for perfect. All I'm saying is an awareness of, "I'm going to intermittent fast in the morning", "I'm going to eat eggs", "I'm going to take the buns off the burger and the croutons off the salad", "I'm going to drive right past the donut shop", or "I'm going to eat when I'm hungry".It's all about awareness. Having two choices and knowing that you don't have to eat this because you have a better option. When you have an awareness of what's going on, just count five seconds before deciding on what to eat.


What is your best option? When you have an awareness of everything that's going on, then you will choose better. Also, you have to work on your mindset. Because if you believe you will always be unhealthy if you feel like you're never going to get to where you want to go. If you feel like you could never join that gym class, then you're right! You're never going to!... It's time for you to see it, and believe it. Even if you have to stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself every day, "I will be this size!", "I'm going to be stronger this year", or "I'm going to lose fifty pounds". It's seriously important...

Going back, did you know that the bumblebee can't fly? I did not know that, but I also don't study aerodynamics.

Good thing bumblebees don't read!

That is the thought for today. Your thoughts control the choices that you make. The things that you believe in, determine where you go in your life, positive or negative. And I also want to share this, "Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly until you learn to do it well"... Don't mess up good for perfect. Don't start today, because everything isn't set into motion. Excuses, "I don't have the right flour", "I don't have the right foods", or "I don't have it written down".

Don't waste time waiting for the perfect moment

You can actually start this without having a perfect menu. Get rid of the processed sugar, the process, junk, stop drinking your calories, stop drinking your sugary drinks. Drink more water, more protein, more veggies, and only eat when you're hungry. I know it's easier said than done and I totally get it. I know there are cravings, emotions, there are kid's parties, I get it. That's why I say don't mess up good for perfect.

Do the best you can, at the moment that you're at, but if you wait for perfect, you're never going to get started... Alright! One more thing I want to read, here it goes. "If you change your attitude, there will be a big difference in your performance".
My challenge to you would be, to change your attitude, how you look at yourself, and how you think about yourself. If you think you can accomplish those goals, because your attitude comes up positive, you believe in yourself, then you can do this. Even if you're going to have to battle it.

That's why people tune in here, and that's why we read. That's why you go listen to mentors, or you plug into podcasts. Because you need to lean on somebody else's beliefs before you have your own, so lean on mine. You can do this!... I did not just wake up one day and know everything about ketones, ketosis, and food. I did not imagine I could coach everybody on a live video like this. It was six and a half years ago that I decided to help some other people. I really don't know what I'm doing, but I'm going to take you on the journey with me.

I still sometimes doubt myself, but I committed myself
Even to this day, I sometimes still doubt myself. I have to catch the negative thought and tell myself, "I'm doing it, even if it's for one person. I'm going to press start". I'm going to talk because I've committed myself to do it for my personal journey, and for other people's journeys. I love to help people on whatever or wherever they're at.

It's not easy, none of this is easy. But it's a simple process of saying yes or saying no, making the best choice possible, plugging into things that help you with your mindset and your accountability, phoning a friend, or walking into the gym. Reading the book called "The 5-Second Rule" by Mel Robbins. It's an incredible tool! It gives you five seconds to get out of your head and take action. Oftentimes, you talk yourself out of going to the gym, eating a healthier meal, or whatever the case may be. Just do it! Say no, say yes, make the better choices. Count backward (5-4-3-2-1) and then take action. Stop watching all of the things that you're learning all over the internet. I know that the IG Reels are funny. I get it, and I sometimes make some funny ones too. I think I'm quite funny, I just really enjoy humor and I like making people laugh... But there should be a point where you have to decide that you're going to take what you've learned and put it into action. It doesn't just work by itself, and it's not easy. But you have to put in the works, and the steps are pretty simple. You just have to do it...

We're going to talk about "Nine Steps in setting goals".

So with that, here's the book that I've been reading, "Goals" by Zig Ziglar. It was a gift from my friends Liz, Abbey, and Jhun from the Philippines. I'm going to be teaching this book in the next two days. I'll probably start on Friday, until the end of this month. We're going to set you up for success diving into the new year.

I'm going to share with you "Nine Steps in setting goals". It talks about how to set realistic goals, S.M.A.R.T goals, and why you're setting goals. That way, when you get to January, you won't be fumbling around and wasting a couple of weeks. I mean, if we're going to do this and do a new year? Then let's do it!

I know people would probably say, "Resolutions we've done them". I get it, but it's here and everybody does it. Everybody somewhat thinks of a resolution they want to accomplish because it's a start. It's a new start, so let's just do it. Let's do it with some mindset, some awareness, and some focus. So that you won't be part of the ninety-nine percent (99%) that fall off in February and then come back here next year, which is the same place you started. No! I've got big goals for myself. I've got new things that I want to do. So I have to get specific, and I'm going to do it with you. If you want to tune in, that's awesome. If you don't want to, then don't...
