Today, the question was "What is the Difference between Keto and Low Carb"...
And the difference really is, Low carb is considered sixty, some would say seventy, but sixty carbs or under. A strict Ketogenic diet is under twenty carbs a day. In a strict Keto diet, you're probably tracking your food. You're weighing it out, and making sure you're in Ketosis, it's very, very strict.
So seventy to eighty percent fat, fifteen percent protein and five percent carbs, is a strict keto diet. Low Carb is your balling things, buns off burgers, croutons off the salad, or grab a lettuce, wrap. So you're not being super restrictive. And somebody would ask "Why would I want to do one over the other?"... There's a lot of people that don't want to track everything they eat. So they can intermittent fast, they can take the buns off the burger, and they can eat more proteins and veggies.
The biggest thing I say is "If you're not hungry, don't eat".
You don't need to be mindlessly snacking. So it's just being aware of the foods that you're eating. If you want to be strict Keto for sure, then you're going to want to track everything in My Fitness Pal or a Carb counter. Either way, it's really just focusing on "Am I hungry", "Am I being aware of the foods I'm eating" and making the best choices possible.
