Hey! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, and welcome to your two o'clock tasting and your Keto tip. Today, we have a keto tip for you, and we're going to try a new flavor. I also have the winners of the Costco haul from the other day. That was a fun and interesting post. Now! Welcome to the Keto mom page, I hope you're having an incredible day. Where are you tuning in from? What did you have for lunch? The reason I ask you that is because it gives other people ideas of some different lunch ideas. So today, we had leftover tacos and taco salad, super simple. What did you have for lunch today? If you're brand new, post new in the comments and I'd love for you to press the share button. Sharing is caring, and it allows other people to join the community and learn right along with you.

I'll be sharing with you My mom fuel and Keto tips daily

So the tip of the day... But before that, here are the tips that we've gone through. If you've been tuning in this month, I've been giving you a keto tip everyday. I'm also testing out a different flavor of Ketones every day until I run out of flavors, and then I'll just be sharing with you why I love ketones.

Today is called Blueberry ACAI. It's actually one of my favorites, and I say that about everything. But this is actually one of my favorites, so I'll shake this up in a second.

But if you've been tuning into the other lives, the tips that we have talked about so far were "Paying attention to what you're drinking when you start this lifestyle", "Drinking more water, and less sugary drinks", "Flipping over the things that you're drinking and eating. I always say the Tip is to Flip and being aware of what you're drinking, and how much sugar you're drinking"... Some people will ask "Can I have this in my coffee, or can I have that?" And I'll say "Do you want a little bit of coffee with your sugar?"...

So having an awareness of that and drinking more water. We talked about "Including your family members". Not just having this be your diet, but if you have children or a spouse, change your verbiage. Not talking about being fat and overweight, or "This is mommy's food or daddy's food", but actually involving your family in eating a healthier lifestyle. We talked about "Don't mess up good for perfect", and "Do not eat if you're not hungry"... Most people overeat good food, and yes, you can do that. You don't need to eat a pound of bacon or a pound of butter. This diet is not bacon and butter. If you didn't know that, I'm so sorry. We talked about "Net carbs versus Total carbs", "Out of sight out of mind, and getting the temptation out of your house"... And today, we are going to talk about keeping it simple.

So the tip of the day is "Keeping it Simple".

What does that look like? We dove into this lifestyle six years ago, and I was overwhelmed. So as I shake up my Ketones, I'm going to tell you a little bit about our story. I promise I will not take all of your time. I'm shaking up the product that changed my life six years ago, it's a packet and you put it in water.

Do not complicate things, keep it Simple and Easy
Your body can make ketones, or you can drink them. This is the only naturally fermented ketone on the market and I've been drinking it for six years. It's incredible!

Most people shake it in a shaker cup, but I love to use a straw. Which by the way, if you having trouble getting water in throughout the day, grab a cup with a straw. I drink so much water when I have a straw. I don't know, it's like a magical thing. So six years ago, this is the concept that we took in this lifestyle. We have four daughters, and my husband wanted fat loss. I actually just wanted to lose the last ten pounds of baby weight.

But for me, I needed the energy and the focus, because we homeschool our kids by choice. I used to take a nap every single day, but after I tried this product, I was incredibly empowered. I felt great, and I had an amazing clean energy. It's a clean fuel source, and I thought I can help my husband eat Keto.

That's where this page came about. We started just simply sharing recipes, and then tips and tricks that worked for us to help you. I'm not a doctor, but I've learned from a lot of doctors. I did not go to school for this, I just learned and I shared what I've been learning. With that being said, I remember going to the grocery store six years ago and I remember thinking we're going to do this Keto diet, and I'm going to make all the Keto recipes. I walked into the store, I had our four babies at the time. They were still very little, they would have been two, four, six and eight years old. And I remember, one was crying while I was trying to figure out how to eat, I had never eaten an avocado in my life. I never ate anything green, I hated salad, I hated vegetables and I ate everything out of a can and a box.

And I remember walking in the grocery store and I was trying to figure out what we should eat, or how do I cut up a pepper, what do I use an avocado for? And I legitimately walked out of the grocery store and I think all of us were crying. The girls were crying and I was overwhelmed. I didn't know how to grocery shop. I didn't know what I was I supposed to eat besides mac and cheese, I was just so overwhelmed. And then I said, "Okay, if I'm going to do this lifestyle with my husband, if I'm going to help him have the fat loss that he wants, if I'm already drinking ketones, I should be eating healthier. I should not be living off of pizza, chicken nuggets, corndogs, Debbie snacks and mac and cheese". So I said I have to take a step back, and this is what I did.

Take it one day at a time, one meal at a time
The tip "Keeping it simple". So I started with one meal at a time, one day at a time. I took breakfast, and I wasn't at a point where I was going to intermittent fast.

So I got up, I shook up my Ketones every morning, which if you want to know more about my mom fuel, post five in the comments so that you and I can talk. I want to know your goals and I'm going to share some videos with you. Super simple videos from doctors, I want you to understand what they are and what they do. So post five in the comments, and I'll talk more about Ketones in a second. But all I did was got up every morning, I drank my Ketones because it gave me the energy, and I felt amazing. I wanted to eat better, so for Breakfast I did not intermittent fast, that came a year later.

All I'm going to do is eat a protein, a veggie and a fat. "Protein, a Veggie and a Fat". So I can eat bacon or eggs, sausages or a little bit of bacon. I can cook my eggs and a little bit of butter. So that's a Protein, a Veggie and a Fat. If I wanted to throw some veggies and an omelet if I liked them, but at that time I did not.

So breakfast was easy, I was either not going to eat, or I always ate bacon eggs or sausage. That's it. I would add a little bit of avocado when I learned how to cut them open and ate them. Then for lunch "Protein, a Veggie, a Salad and a little bit of Fat". I said buns off the burgers croutons off the salad, or grab a lettuce wrap. I ate a lot of deli meats cheeses, I would try to eat some cauliflower and broccoli which seemed to be the only vegetables I liked at the time. If I added a little bit of butter to it and garlic, I was fine. We ate very simply, and when I had extra time in my day, which was not very often because the girls were babies at the time, I would go look on Pinterest until I started creating recipes. I would go look for a new recipe to try on a Saturday or Sunday. But before then, and for the first year of this lifestyle we ate plain hamburger and I would throw some broccoli or cauliflower in it. Put a little bit of cheese, and I would try to eat some avocado. I would try to figure out what kind of salad I would like. I ate so simple. I ate a lot of eggs, we ate a lot of hamburger, and we grilled a lot of meat.

Buns off the burger, croutons off the salad...

That's it! I don't want you to feel like you have to go dive in. Like I have to do all of these keto recipes, I got to figure out how to use monk fruit and almond flour and all of that crazy stuff. I didn't know what that meant, but I just knew I'm going to get out the sugar and I'm going to drink more water. I'm not going to eat the cereal, but I'm going to eat the eggs. I'm going to take the buns off the burgers, because I can do that. I'm going to stop with the pasta, bread and potatoes at night and I'm going to eat more meat, and try a new veggie.

That's what we did, we kept it so simple. So when you're starting this way, you might get to the point where you're going to feel "But I'm eating the same thing". Yeah! But we had goals and until we could figure out different recipes, we ate pretty simply. Even now we grill a lot of food, we have tacos a lot, and I make Keto chili.

We eat simple and sometimes I'll try a recipe and I'll share it with you. But in general, we eat the same basic five or six meals a lot. I snack on the same snack, if I want to snack every day. I have Macadamia nuts, a cheese stick or protein shake. It's what I do, because I like to think of food as fuel. So the tip is don't get overwhelmed. You don't have to go fill your cupboards with all of the baking ingredients to cook Keto. It's about getting the sugar out, drinking more water, being aware of if when you are hungry or not. A protein, a veggie and a little bit of fat... It might be cooking your meat in some butter, adding a little bit of avocado to your meal, or there's some fat in your egg yolks.

Don't get overwhelmed! If you want to track your food, awesome! Go track it to figure out you're not eating an excessive amount of sugar and protein. Keep it simple! When you're hungry, you eat. But if you're not hungry, even if there's beef sticks and cheese sticks and keto snacks in front of you, you don't need to eat. Keep it simple! I drink ketones every day.
I can share with you basic some videos of how we started

So the tip is to keep it simple. If you've got questions, I actually have a foods list of exactly how we ate. If you've never seen it or if you've already seen it, and you already have it, awesome! I have a video that I di, about a year or two ago, of showing you little cards... I've got eight steps, we're going to drink more water. Here's how you do more fats. Here's how you take out the sugar.

If you want it very basic, here's a breakfast, lunch and dinner foods list. Post food in the comments, and I will give it to you. It's nothing fancy, but it's not going to overwhelm you.

There's a little video that explains how I started, I probably should redo the video, but I look the same now as I did then. It's just a simple "Here's how I started, one meal at a time, one day at a time", or "Here's a basic guide for some food ideas". So I want you to share with me, for example when I come on here, I wanted to know what did you have for lunch. It gives me new ideas and it gives other people ideas if they scroll through here. "Collaboration is currency", so we work together. Post food in the comments and if you want to know more of why I drink ketones, it's because it's an incredible fuel source. It's a clean fuel and I feel amazing. You can drink one or two a day. I'm drinking the Blueberry ACAI, it tastes so good. The flavors come in caffeine and caffeine free, I do trial packs for you try a variety of flavors.

This product puts the Ketones in your system. It gives you the energy, it helps your brain turn on, it helps you focus, it helps with your appetite control and your craving control.

So I love it! It's not a magic pill, this is not an excuse for you to eat garbage. It's not an excuse for you to go eat something and go, "It's fine. I'll drink my Ketones later". Nope! It does not mean that I don't ever cheat, it does not mean that I don't have certain things. But I also know that I'm not going to spiral out of control. If I have like a snack or a treat... What happens when you have a treat? I love chocolate chip cookies, it then turns into not just one, but wanting more. Sugar is addictive. What I love about Ketones is, if I if I have a cheat day or a cheat meal, I can get back on track the next day and keep going with my goals. Oftentimes when somebody has a cheat meal or a cheat day, they want to keep having it because they've triggered something in their brain and their body, and they better stop it. Otherwise, they will keep going the next day. "Oh, I'll start tomorrow", "Oh, I'll start on the first", "I'll start on Sunday or on Monday"... And then it kind of spirals out of control...

Here are our COSTCO WINNERS! Congratulations!
