	So what I love about slowing down, and resetting my metabolism or just resting is, I am now aware of how I grab things just because it was on the counter.  I love how fasting slows you down and helps you realize that you don't have to be controlled by food. "I'm in control of food", is hands down for me the number one benefit of Fasting...

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie and we are going to dive into our three o'clock tasting and a Keto tip. I'm going to talk to you about paying attention to what you are drinking, why we fast, and what are the benefits of fasting. So as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? We're going to keep this short and sweet. We're going to talk about the reboot, intermittent fasting, and what's in your cup. How was your day, and what did you have for lunch? I made chili. My husband's grandparents came over, so they're our kids' great-grandparents. They hang out with us for the afternoon, and it's always fun when they come over. We made the chili, we all chatted, they sat by the fire, and played cards. They like to play cards with our kids, and then they taught them about history. It's always fun to hear what life was like when they were born. They are eighty-six years old, and they're sweet. They live in town and our girls learn a lot from them. So that was our afternoon, we had chili.

And for those of you who are asking how I make Keto chili? I make chili the easiest way possible, you don't even need a recipe. Who loves chili? I love chili! This has nothing to do with the Keto tip. Don't mess up good for perfect! I love a very meaty chili, so I use a lot of meat. Some people don't use a lot of meat, but I use tons. I think I probably use anywhere from three to five pounds of hamburgers just for our family. I use a ton of hamburger, I brown it and season it with garlic.

As soon as that's done, I use the RAO's marinara sauce, it has the lowest sugar. And I think it's the best marinara sauce that you can find, except if you make your own.

So I use RAOs marinara sauce, it's a little bit more expensive, but if you get it at Costco it's a way better deal. And then all I do is season it with some chili powder, and you can put all the vegetables you want in it. So meat first, then whatever veggies you want, whether it's celery, peppers, or chunks of tomatoes. I hate chunks of tomatoes, so I don't do that. And then marinara sauce, I season it until it's done. Easy! Put some sour cream in it, add cheese and enjoy! Don't mess up good for perfect...

What did you have for lunch? The reason I asked is that maybe some of you feel like it's chili season! For us in Minnesota, it's cold, so it's already crockpot season, and we've been making roasts and chili...Okay! I'm going to shake up some Mom Fuel, we have caffeine-free ketones today. The tasting is going to be for a newer flavor, it's a liquid formulation. I don't remember how to say it, but it's orange. I've talked about this a long time ago, remember? I popped it open and it broke all over the place, so I had to lick my cup and my hands. I'm tasting a caffeine-free one today. My Mom Fuel comes in caffeine or caffeine-free, and we'll see if this one pops open.

Normally you would see me shake up a packet of powder, this is the same and yet different. The powder formula and liquid formula put your body in ketosis in under an hour. But this liquid formula is a little bit faster, it's a faster uptake. It's a little bit sourer, while the powder one is a little bit sweeter.

You can add as much water as you want, to make it how you'd like it. The reason I drink it is that I tell people I am not a coffee drinker. Are you a coffee drinker? I am not, but it's okay if you are. I'm not a coffee drinker, I don't drink energy drinks., and I don't drink anything that's going to give me a caffeine kick. I drink ketones instead, as a fuel source. Your body can make them or you can drink them...

We'll see if this one pops open without spraying me. These are still in the works, but I also bought a pair of scissors for safety reasons. Okay! I want to know what you had for lunch? I was joking about this last week, or maybe ten days ago. I said I'm not a sour person, and that's funny that I don't like sour things. I didn't think I was actually going to love this one because I normally don't drink the liquid ampules. But I tried this one, and I freaked out.

We had some friends that lived in San Diego, and they had an orange tree at home. We picked the oranges one day with our kids, and they squeezed all the orange juice out. So we drank some freshly squeezed orange juice. When I tried this flavor, I was like "Oh my goodness! This tastes just like a freshly squeezed orange or tangerine"... I am legitimately obsessed with it. I love how I feel, and I just love all of these flavors. I love this orange one, it's not too sour, and it's so good.

I drink one or two a day, it helps me with my energy, I don't need a nap, I've been able to help thousands of people. I have helped them with their fat loss because it's a tool, and not a magic pill. Ketones help jumpstart Fasting

So here's the tip of the day. Why do people fast? Let me ask you this question, "Who here does intermittent fasting? Do you intermittent fast?".

Basically what that means is, you stop eating after supper, you go fourteen or sixteen hours of fasting, and then there are eight hours of eating window. So intermittent fasting would be until almost like lunchtime the following day.

Some people would say they drink their coffee during their fasts, or they drink their coffee with their cream. It just depends, everybody's a little different. I've heard some doctors say you can have some cream if it's not going to spike your insulin. Some people drink black coffee, but I drink Ketones during that time.

Ketones will not break your fast. Some people do just water, everybody's just different, there's not a one size fits all. Alright! Intermittent Fasting is great. Intermittent fasting can help kickstart fat loss, it can help you not crave as much food. It's going to help get your body into ketosis. Is it great? Yes! Do I do it every single day? No! I probably do it three days a week, it just depends if I get super busy. I prefer to drink a protein shake after I work out, so my mornings can look different. Now I do have people ask "Why do you do a 24- hour fast?", "Why do you do a 60-hour reboot?"... I have this little reboot kit right here. We've got a 24 hour fast that we walk people through, And I tell people, there are three different reasons to do a fast or a reboot. I'm going to show you what's inside this reboot kit, it's available for the next couple of days...

Why Do A Reboot? 3 Types of People
So if you do a fast or a reboot, you're either one of these three people. Number one, maybe you're watching and you need to kickstart everything. You're like "I fell off the wagon, I need to seriously get my body back on track", "I need to fast, I need to cleanse my body", "I need to I just get back on track"...

So that's what this kit will do, whether it's this 60-hour reboot kit or the 24-hour fast. It's incredible! You might just need to go, "I need to start", "I need to do", "I'm black or white, it's all or nothing"... Usually I help people start with drinking ketones, intermittent fasting, and then we work on low carb meals. We do it slowly, but some of you would say you can't do it that way. My friend said "I can't do it that way. I've got to be all or nothing"... So maybe you just need to get back into gear number one.

Number two, fasting or the reboot would be great for somebody who fell out of their goal. "Ugh! I fell out of Ketosis"... You've been up and down, you've been doing low carb, and you just need to restart, or help reboot your metabolism.

It hasn't been a year, but you feel like you just need to get back on track, like "I feel like I've eaten too much garbage". That could be you, or maybe you're already feeling great. You're doing really well on a daily basis, and you just want to amplify what you're doing. You want to kickstart it, like "You know what? I feel great and I want to feel even better"... Number two-person could have also reached a plateau. So maybe you've reached a plateau and you're like, "I need to get past this", "I need to pivot", "I need to do something different", or "Maybe I've let too many treats in"... So wherever you're at, whichever person you are, there are different things you can do. You can intermittent fast, start there, it's great. You can do a 24 hour fast. We have a little kit that has a broth and ketones that you can drink. It has some little A.M., P.M. pills, and it has electrolytes. So we've got a 24 hour fast and we have a 60 Hour Reboot.

What happens is, it's 60 hours, and we start on a Sunday night. We do it all together, you're going to take your PM pills, go to bed, wake up the next day, drink your ketones in the morning, drink your broth for lunch and dinner, and then you're going to drink electrolytes. You're going to drink a caffeine-free ketone and you're going to do that all over again for two days.

Can you do it? You can totally do it. It's really a mindset, and you want to know something crazy? I think it was about three or four years ago when we first introduced the 60-hour keto reboot. My girls were like, "Mom, you get so 'hangry', you cannot do this", "It's not going to be good", "You can't do it, you love food too much". And I was like, "I totally can do it! I can do it!"... You want to know my favorite benefit of fasting? I didn't do it the first couple of years that we started this lifestyle, because it was overwhelming. I'm not going to lie, if I could get myself to eat better, do low carb, and drink more water? I was already feeling great. About a couple of years into our lifestyle, that's when I implemented intermittent fasting and longer fasts. It was a challenge to show the girls that I could do it.

Fasting made me aware of what True Hunger really is
But what I truly found that I loved about, whether it was intermittent fasting or this kit, which I think is great. I love the fact that I could understand what true hunger is.

"I eat out of habit", "I eat because the clock says to eat", "I eat because I'm emotional", or whatever the case may be. It's so interesting and how you can actually realize the triggers, and have an awareness of how often you eat. "I eat because my kids leave extra food on their plates", "I eat because it's lunchtime, and we're all eating", "I'm not hungry, but I'm eating"...

So what I love about slowing down, and resetting my metabolism or just resting is, I am now aware of how I grab things just because it was on the counter. "Out of sight, out of mind"... Things like "Because it was sitting there, so I ate it", "I don't need that, I'm not hungry. But I'm overeating good food, the kids food, or I'm bored and I have a candy drawer right there and I'm emotional"...

I love how fasting slows you down and helps you realize that you don't have to be controlled by food. "I'm in control of food", is hands down for me the number one benefit of Fasting...

The last thing I was going to say is, I want you to pay attention to everything that you put into your cup, or the drinks you get through the drive-thru, especially if you're just starting. Oftentimes people are drinking so much sugar, they're unaware of it. They think of things like "Should I eat that for a snack?", "I shouldn't have that candy bar", "Nope, I'm not going to have that bread and pasta"... But when it comes to the things in their cup, they're easily drinking a ridiculous amount of sugar. When somebody comes to me and they want help with eating low carb or keto, they want to get on track, I'm always asking, "What are you drinking?"...

So I want you to make sure that you're drinking half your body weight in ounces of water. If you need to put flavor in your water, we can talk about ketones. We can talk about some different options like lemons or limes, some electrolytes, but no more soda.

Pay attention to the sugar you're putting in your coffee because some of you are drinking some sugar with a little bit of coffee. Or you might be drinking those really healthy organic drinks that are in the gas station that says, "Amazing, organic, whole fruits". But once you flip that baby over, one of those drinks, I'm not going to say the name because I don't like to throw companies under the bus. But one of those "healthy drinks" had sixty-seven grams of sugar in it. And some of you would say, it's fruit sugar... Pay attention to what's in your cup, drink more water, drink less sugar.
