Perspective On Time Passed (The Noticer by Andy Andrews)

Updated: Oct 20, 2022

"No matter your age, physical condition, financial situation, color, gender, emotional state or belief. Everything that you do, every move you make, matters to all of us and forever. Time is precious, and you have much more to do". ~Andy Andrews

Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie, and we're going through the "The Noticer" by Andy Andrews.

This book is about perspective, and for today's chapter we will talk about the feeling that your time has passed. It's really speaking to the older generation. Yesterday, we talked about the younger generation, and the perspective of the people that you're around with.

The main character in story, gave people in different life situations some perspective. Today, he talked with an older lady who was in her 80s. She felt like her time has already passed. She's done, and there's nothing else to live for.

Jones, our main character, thought otherwise.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

Oftentimes, people say...

  • "I'm too old to care about my health".

  • "It's too late".

  • "I can't go to the gym".

  • "My time has passed".

  • "It's not a big deal".

  • "My kids are old, what's the point?". "I don't feel good".

  • "I feel like I'm too old".

Don't let that be you! This morning, I sent a message to my family that said "Good morning! We are all so blessed today because we are alive and well. I love you"...

You all have breath in your lungs, you are awake, you are here. You are alive and you still have things in your life that you need to accomplish. There are things that people need you for.

And so Jones was talking to this older lady named Willow, and she really thought her time is done. And so Jones shared to her about different characters...

"What about Benjamin Franklin? He didn't invent bifocals, until he was 78. Winston Churchill was 78 when he finished with more than a couple of his careers, and then he wrote a book and won a Nobel Prize for Literature at 78. Nelson Mandela, didn't become the president of South Africa until he served years in prison and he was 75. Grandma Moses, the artists, her very first painting didn't sell until she was 90. Michelangelo was older he before he started his great work".

People that achieved greatness that you and I look up to, didn't actually achieve those things until they were much older. And in this page, while we talk about keto, low carb, food, and recipes, your life is more than just fat loss. There is more to you, and there are more things that you need to accomplish.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.

It's more than just losing the 50 pounds of fat. But ofcourse, if you take care of your health, it will be easier for you to overflow into other people when you feel better. You can help other people feel better.

When you feel good, you make better decisions, and you smile more. You can go out of your way to help somebody and show up for other people.
When you feel good, it allows you to help other people because you want them to feel good.
