Perspective On Time Passed (The Noticer by Andy Andrews)

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

"No matter your age, physical condition, financial situation, color, gender, emotional state or belief. Everything that you do, every move you make, matters to all of us and forever. Time is precious, and you have much more to do". ~Andy Andrews

Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie, and we're going through the "The Noticer" by Andy Andrews.

This book is about perspective, and for today's chapter we will talk about the feeling that your time has passed. It's really speaking to the older generation. Yesterday, we talked about the younger generation, and the perspective of the people that you're around with.

The main character in story, gave people in different life situations some perspective. Today, he talked with an older lady who was in her 80s. She felt like her time has already passed. She's done, and there's nothing else to live for.

Jones, our main character, thought otherwise.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

Oftentimes, people say...

  • "I'm too old to care about my health".

  • "It's too late".

  • "I can't go to the gym".

  • "My time has passed".

  • "It's not a big deal".

  • "My kids are old, what's the point?". "I don't feel good".

  • "I feel like I'm too old".

Don't let that be you! This morning, I sent a message to my family that said "Good morning! We are all so blessed today because we are alive and well. I love you"...

You all have breath in your lungs, you are awake, you are here. You are alive and you still have things in your life that you need to accomplish. There are things that people need you for.

And so Jones was talking to this older lady named Willow, and she really thought her time is done. And so Jones shared to her about different characters...

"What about Benjamin Franklin? He didn't invent bifocals, until he was 78. Winston Churchill was 78 when he finished with more than a couple of his careers, and then he wrote a book and won a Nobel Prize for Literature at 78. Nelson Mandela, didn't become the president of South Africa until he served years in prison and he was 75. Grandma Moses, the artists, her very first painting didn't sell until she was 90. Michelangelo was older he before he started his great work".

People that achieved greatness that you and I look up to, didn't actually achieve those things until they were much older. And in this page, while we talk about keto, low carb, food, and recipes, your life is more than just fat loss. There is more to you, and there are more things that you need to accomplish.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.

It's more than just losing the 50 pounds of fat. But ofcourse, if you take care of your health, it will be easier for you to overflow into other people when you feel better. You can help other people feel better.

When you feel good, you make better decisions, and you smile more. You can go out of your way to help somebody and show up for other people.
When you feel good, it allows you to help other people because you want them to feel good.

I want to help you with your health journey, and I also want you to have perspective in other areas of your life. You are not too old, and you are not too young. You might not have loved the environment that you grew up in, but you can change that.

Now, if you don't like where you're at, you're not a tree, you can move, right? There are lots of different ways to do different things. Oftentimes, we get stuck in this rut of where we are at, and feel like we don't have any hope.

But if you don't do something different and change where you're at, then you're not going to get different results.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀, "𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲".
What is deep inside of you that you would like to accomplish outside of fat loss?
Let's work on your health and feeling better so that you can overflow into other people.

"Many of life's treasures remain hidden within us simply because we never searched for them. Often we do not ask the right proper questions that might lead us to the answer to all of the challenges to all of our challenges. We are so caught up with fear and regret, that hope seems full like a foolish endeavor. Proof of hope, however, is not only possible, it is overlooked".

Oftentimes, we just let the world tell us what we should do. We allow the world to depict our actions like sit in front of the TV, or watch the news.

When in fact, if you were to just sit with yourself for a little bit and just think...

  • What if I were to do something else?

  • What if I were to do what is in my heart?

  • What if I were to do something different?

  • What if I had more time?

  • What if I knew then what I know now, would I have taken a different direction?

  • What if I had extra time, would I put it here?

  • What if I had the resources and the money, would I do that?

That is probably the next thing you need to dive into, and you can do it at a small scale. You're not too old, and you're not too young.

If you are breathing, then you are still alive.

If you are alive, then you are still here physically on this planet.

If you are still here, then you have not completed what you were put on this earth to do.

If you have not completed what you were put on this earth to do, then that means that your very purpose has not yet been fulfilled.

If your purpose has not yet been fulfilled, then the most important part of your life has not yet been lived. And if your most important part of your life has not yet been lived, then there's hope.

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
There are things that the world needs you to do and other people around you need you to do.

There are things you need to do that even people you don't know will benefit from, if you step out and do it. Little steps at a time. I wish I knew all of those things so I could tell you your next steps, but I don't.

So Jones just gave this older lady perspective on her life, and something that she might want to accomplish. I think she was 86 and she said "I guess I'm not done. You're right! I'm not done and I have more to give"... It's little steps every single da.

"No matter your age, physical condition, financial situation, color, gender, emotional state, or belief. Everything that you do, every move you make, matters to all of us and forever. Time is precious, and you have much more to do".

So whatever that means to you, I am here to help you on your health journey. I am here to help you physically feel better. Because when you feel better, you can overflow and give to other people.

When you're grouchy, and you don't feel good. When you're whining and you feel like you can never do it, or you won't. because you feel it's too late for you. It's not too late for you! By just making some small tweaks in your own health, like cutting out the sugar, making better choices on food, going for a walk, working on your mindset, drinking more water, focusing on little things to feel better, your brain will feel better.

You'll start thinking and dreaming more. You might create, you might spend more time with somebody, you might take action on something that changes people's lives and your own.

Your health is important, and I'm here to help you. Send me a message at any point in time and I will help you on your health journey. I will help you eat better, feel better, move your body, and understand the power of mindset.

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
You are alive, you're breathing, you're here, and you've got something that only you can do.
You've got a purpose and a calling in your life. Let's find out what it is, let's figure that out, and what your next step is.

So that's it for this morning, continue to tune into the Keto Mom page. I'm here to help, send me a message. I hope you have an incredible morning and we'll talk to you very soon. Bye everybody!
