Hi! Welcome to the Keto mom page. My name is Stephanie, good morning! It is time for some mindset conversation. So as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? I worked out at six, read, and then cleaned around the house a little bit. Now I'm ready to talk to you. I actually was going through three books to decide what we should go through. Alright! How is your morning? Let's do this, I would love it if you would share three things, or even just one thing you're thankful for. Last night, I was one of the coaches for another group that I'm a part of. And we've been going through focuses, we've been going through a whole challenge this month. It has to do with eating better, drinking water, and movement. And so last night and today, I was coaching people on mindset.

Today is Mindset Mom Moments
Your mindset focus is going to be on what you're thankful for, because a healthy heart is a happy heart, and it is a thankful heart.

So I'd love to know, what are you thankful for, you can share below even just one thing... I am thankful for lots of things. I'm thankful for the heat, although we have not turned it on yet. I'm thankful for a fireplace, that I'm hoping we can start a fire soon. I am thankful for Minnesota, I'm thankful for the seasons, I'm thankful that I'm awake, that I am healthy enough to work out and move my body...

So what are you thankful for? Where are you tuning in from? I hope you're having an incredible morning. Now for those who are brand new, we talk about mindset every morning. Normally, we're going through a book, but I just stopped the book we were going through because I felt like it wasn't the right book for the page. So I have three books I need you to vote on. It's very serious. I think I know the one that I would choose, but I want you to choose the book that we're going to go through. Or if you have a different one, somebody actually shared one with me the other day. I ordered it, but I don't have it right now. We can always go through that one later, but here are some books that I have read, and the ones that I haven't read.

The first one is "The Power of Moments" by Chip Heath & Dan Heath. I read part of the first chapter this morning, and what this book really talks about is it lays out the power of moments.
"The Power of Moments" by Chip Heath & Dan Heath

He said it's going to lay out defining moments and thinking in moments. He talked about the trip over the truth, stretching your insight, recognizing others, multiplying milestones, practicing courage, and creating shareable moments. And so that's what this book is about, and this one is a little bit thicker, but it looks good. So if you've read this book, and you feel like this would be a great book to go through, let me know. So this is the first one, and when we're done I'm going to put it in my story so that you can vote. This would be one of the books that we can go through...

The point is this, every single day you can go through this page. You can gather recipes, keto tips, and tricks. You can go all the way back to 2015 when I started this page. There is no shortage of wisdom and knowledge all based around keto on the page.

Now every morning, I'm going to do something based on mindset because I truly believe that if your mindset isn't on track, if it's not right, if it's not positive, if you're not feeding your mindset, then everything else doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if I tell you exactly what to eat, how much to work out, or how to track your food. Because if you don't believe that you can do it, then you're right. But if you do believe that you can do it, then you will achieve your goals. Both are right, but you've got to have it right here in your mind.

So we started this last spring, meaning, just we came on here and started talking about different things. Like questions to ponder, and things to help you grow your mindset. I'm going to do it no matter what, whether you are tuned in or not. Even if one person does, I guess if nobody did, I'd still get up and read. So my hope is to share with you what I'm reading. This is the first book, I've not read it yet but I've skimmed it. I do think if it would be a good book, but it's going to be an easier read than the last book.

One of my Favorite Books: "The Last Arrow" by Erwin McManus

So there's that one, and now the second and third books I'm going to have you vote on are from one of my favorite pastors. His name is Pastor Erwin McManus, I've actually never seen him in person. He's from a church called Mosaic church in L.A.

I talked about it last night, I've read this book " The Last Arrow", at least ten times. I've listened to the audible multiple times over the years. And so I wasn't going to have this one be an option, but I picked it up this morning, and it's incredible. It's incredible because it's about his life.

It's a story for him, but also gives you some serious things to think about. And so I'll tell you the basics of this book, he said "This book has one intention. Whether you win or lose, succeed or fail, live a life of a celebrity, an animal, or anonymity. When you take your last breath you will know, without reservation, that you have given everything that you have, everything that you are to the life that you have been entrusted with"... It's amazing! It's truly an amazing book. And it's okay if you don't want to go through it, I've got probably three or four of these books all highlighted.

So we've got "The Power of Moments", we've got "The Last Arrow", and then he wrote another book called "Chasing Daylight". I'm pretty sure I listened to the majority of the audible books, but I haven't written through this one. This book is about Choices. Choices in life, initiative, uncertainty, influence, and risk advance. It says "Go unless you get a no".
"Chasing Daylight" by Erwin McManus

They all will cover the same type of thing, but it's going to be what are you going after in life. What moments are you creating? What are you hoping to achieve? It's not teaching you anything about food, or anything about the ketogenic diet, or low carb. It is all on your mindset, all of it. So these are the three books that I pulled off my shelf.

My hope is that maybe one or two stand out for you, let me know what you think. You don't even have to have the book. You can tune in every single day. It's just what I'm going to read, I'll break it down, and I'll share the biggest takeaways. It'll give you something to think about.

Oftentimes, if somebody I've got to work on my mindset, maybe meditation, or whatever you're learning to work on. People feel like they've got to focus on it, and they don't want to sit and read for an hour. You don't have to... "Good morning! Do you want to come and sit with me?. Want to go sit on she just woke up. Good morning. I have four daughters and four dogs. We homeschool. So our life is great! I actually do love it, and I love that she's eight and she still climbs in my lap...

So going back, the point of all of this, is to get you to think. It's to get you to use your mindset, give you encouragement, help you have hope, especially in this crazy time. And to know that you don't need to sit and wallow in your sorrow. A lot of the books that we read, talks about choices, and not blaming people for your past, or your circumstances. It's about saying "Nope! I'm in charge of the choices that I'm going to make", "I am an adult, I choose whether to get healthy or not". "I choose whether to make every single choice and every single decision every day"...

Check my stories and Vote for your Book
So I want to help you with that. You don't have to have the book, but you can tune in. I'm going to put something on my stories. If you want to vote here, which one would you like to go through? We can go through all of them, because I'm always going to be reading, and I will always share. So whichever one you think should go first, I will go by the number of comments and then that's it.

So I hope you guys have a great day, I didn't really give you anything to think about other than a healthy heart is a thankful heart. Here's something for you to do today, I gave this to the group of people I was talking to last night. I'd love for you to share what you're thankful for, and here is one challenge. Here's an action step for you today, send someone a message. Whether it's on Messenger, here on Facebook or Instagram, a text message, or a phone call. I want you to go and send a message to somebody to who you are truly thankful. It has to also be meaningful, and not like "Hey, I'm thankful for you".

What You Give, You Have Forever

So go send a message to somebody that needs to hear from you "Hey, Thank you for always helping with the kids", "Thank you for running around and driving kids back and forth", or "Thank you for lunch", "Thank you for cooking for me"... Whatever it is, that is your action step.

Have you ever heard the saying "What you give, you have forever?"... If you're wanting something in life, you need to go give it. If you want physical touch, meaning if your love language is physical touch, or you just need a hug, then go give a hug. If you need affirmation or some quality time with somebody, then you need to go give it. What you give, you have forever...

So I am thankful for you. I hope you have an incredible morning. Go send somebody a message and tell them how thankful you are for them, and then you can vote on your book. That's it! I hope you have a good morning. I'm going to snuggle Annie and we'll talk to you soon.
