Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great day, and we're diving in real quick. I have a very specific topic, it's something that I've been talking about with another mom earlier today. It just made me realize how many people probably don't factor in a couple other key components to fat loss. We're going to dive in, and I'm just going to give you something to think about, whether you agree or not agree... My name is Stephanie, and welcome to the Keto Mom page. Today is your day thirteen if you joined us on the thirty day Challenge.

The challenge was just simply choosing something you were going to do for thirty days. For me, it's working out and for other people they chose one or two things just to create and start a habit. So today is day thirteen, and if you are joining us for these thirty days, what are you working on and how are you doing?

It's okay that you're not perfect. It's okay if you slipped up, but get back up and keep going. The only way you fail is if you quit.

So if you follow our Instagram, I loved watching my girls do something yesterday, I love the determination aspect of it. My kids want to learn how to wakeboard, and I have this crazy memory of wakeboarding years and years ago, when I was dating my husband. I smashed my face on the ground so hard, by the way I promise you there's a reason I'm telling you this. I remember catching my wake, catching my edge, smashing my face on the ground, and I never wake boarded again. It's this lingering worst feeling of my life, and I was too afraid to ever get back on a board. Now since having kids, I loved watching all of our girls yesterday try something new.

My two youngest tried yesterday, they are seven and eight. They got up on the wakeboard, and they did it but they crashed a lot. And just like you, most of you are moms or dads or you know, adults on here. This isn't about perfection... I watched my kids do something yesterday, out of sheer determination. They wanted to get up on the board, they were focused, they were not perfect. They got pulled around on that board, smashed their face, fell in the water, went under the water, and got back up. They did it over and over again until my husband said we've got to go inside, because he had to get on some calls. All of them did it, even my two oldest ones tried earlier this week, they fell for an hour before they finally got the feeling figured out on how to get on the board. They they made an entire loop, and another loop, until one of my daughters got up yesterday, smashed and hit the ground so hard over and over again. Earlier this week though, she did great. She went around and around yesterday.

My second daughter Emery didn't, she barely got up and she was so frustrated, but she said "I'm not going to quit"... It's no different than you and your lifestyle, or you and this diet.

You're going to have good days and challenging days. You're going to have things that throw you off, kids screaming and it's stressful. Something might happen, you might not get your workout and you might not eat the best that you wanted to. You might not feel like today was a great day, but are you going to stick with it? Are you going to keep going, get up and try again?... The only way that my daughters will fail at wakeboarding is if they never try again.

The only way my daughters will not do well, is if I were to tell them, don't do that, it's going to hurt. And if I shared my fear upon them, they would have never tried.

So I zipped my lips, but as a mom in the back of my head, I kept going, she's seven. I almost almost said something like "Annie, I don't think you can do it". Not that I never thought she could do it, but I almost told her what I thought out of fear. So I zipped my lips and I let her try. People are going to tell you what they think of you diving into a healthier lifestyle. They're going to tell you what they think of the Keto diet, they're going to tell you if you can or can't do it. They're going to tell you if you shouldn't be drinking Ketones or if you shouldn't. People love to tell you what they think they know, and it's either going to stop you or it's going to push you.

If I would have told Annie what I thought of wakeboarding, she probably would not have tried it. She got up as a seven year old, her first time was up out of the water and the other girls were screaming for her and cheering her on. You're going to have people in your life that cheer you on and don't, that agree with what you're doing and that don't. You've got to have the determination to know what you are doing. You might fall or you might not do it right. You might have a bad day, but the only way that you are going to fail at whatever your goals are, is if you quit. So I wasn't even planning on going down that route, but I loved watching them because they just had this childlike determination to accomplish something and they want to do it again. I just want to encourage you today that this is about a lifestyle, it is a journey, it is a marathon, whatever sticks in your brain that it is not an overnight thing. And you may have crazy success last week, and you're down five pounds of fat, but then this week you messaged me and that you're up by three. Or I lost this and I'm stuck or I'm at a plateau. It is not a forever stuck, there's just so many variables and this is where I really wanted to go.

Fat Loss, isn't always determined by the food that you eat. I mean, if you're eating great, awesome, and if you're going to the gym, awesome. But I need you to think of a couple things that have a huge play on fat loss.

I was just talking to a mom ten minutes ago, and she said, "Stephanie, I have never been more stressed out with life circumstances, and things that are going on in the world"... A single mom, she has her eating on point. She dominates her workouts every day. And she said "I have never had felt the weight of my stress in life, I can feel it in my body. I'm holding some extra pounds down here. I'm feeling a little bit bloated"... And her and I had this conversation of not just women, but I don't think people factor in the power of stress, and what it can do to holding on weight. And so what I need you to look at, is if you feel like you're doing things right. If you've got your food, and you are doing the best that you can, you are drinking water and stopped drinking pop. But you're carrying this weight of watching the news, and what does the future hold, all of this unknown.

Please know that stress, not sleeping well, and being worried... All of these things plays a factor on what your body's going to do with fat loss, it holds it. So you might feel like you've got all of this under control. It's a mindset, your journey, your fat loss journey, your health journey, has a huge play. And are you feeding your mind right. Are you listening to podcasts, are you reading things that uplift you and not just watching the news? I think the news is a great awareness, to help you understand what's going on. There's a hurricane coming, I'm in Minnesota and we're about to get a crazy storm for the next couple days. There's other things going on in the world besides the newest things that are all over the place. There are other things that are going on in the world, besides this pandemic and this virus. Besides people fighting for rights and racism, it is so important.

It's important to be aware, it's important to know what's going on, and to educate yourself and your children. I watched the news for the first time the other day and I had no idea what was going on. So I took it all, and it gave me an awareness but then I just shut it off.

Our family talks about it, we educate our kids on things that we can do and on the kindness that we can show. We pray for our government, we pray for our communities, and we do the best that we can in educating and showing love to other people in ways that we have that we can do. I don't even know where this is going. All I want you to know is that, your health and fitness journey is also determined by what you're putting in your mind. What you're listening to, what you're reading, and the stress you're allowing in your body.

So I would just share things that you can do to destress... Go for a walk, read a book, call a friend up and just say I need to vent or I need to talk. Go to a park, and shut off our phones for an hour.

I did this the other day with the girls, I'm a phone person, my entire business and everybody that I talked to is on my phone. I had to go put it away because there were things that were stressing me out, so I went and had some fun. Go for a bike ride, sit and just watch the lake, listen to some music. My biggest de stressor is to take a shower with worship music on and I feel like the weight of the world goes.

So figure out what that is for you, because that affects your body more than you know. Get some sleep, don't watch TV until you fall asleep.

There's things that you can do like shutting off the lights, reading a book before bed, and putting your phone away. All of those things are going to help you. We are also here to help you, we are going to give you Keto tips, tricks, hacks and recipes on this page, so please continue to tune in. If today is your day thirteen, please check in. Let us know how you're doing, what specific questions do you have. I can come back on and do a Q & A later today or tomorrow.

So post below the questions that you have, whatever it is. If you're new, post new below or private message me your goals. I would love to connect with you, and just let me know what you have. Are you brand new, are you not new? Do you need a foods list, do you want to know more about drinking Ketones? There's no dumb question, we will get back to all of them. I hope you guys have a great day and I look forward to connecting with so many of you. Go destress, read a book, take a walk, reengage. Okay, I think you guys are all amazing.

Have a great afternoon and we'll talk to you soon.
