Full Episode Transcript:
Good morning! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie, and every morning we go through a book. My mornings are focused on my DMOs (Daily Method of Operation), which is what I do every single day.
𝗧𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀
𝗧𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀
𝗧𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆
𝗧𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲
𝗜𝗳 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Alright! We're going to go through this book, "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵" 𝗯𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹, for the rest of this month. You can just tune in here every single morning to get some type of golden nugget to help you on your day...
I'm curious, how many of you have a list of things that you work through every single day, before you go to work, to school and before you get the kids up? I usually need to have two hours to myself, before I do anything else.
I have worked on my DMO lists (Daily Method of Operation) for years and I feel like it helps me reach goals. If I get my mindset right, before I dive into my day, I'll be able to attack my day first with more of a positive mindset.
Chapter 5:The Law
of Consistency
𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴?
𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.
"Everyone wants to be encouraged, and everyone enjoys being inspired. But here's the truth when it comes down to personal growth"
He talked about the secret that he feels would help people accomplish or succeed in life. His mentor told him years ago that the number one thing you need to work on is "Personal Growth". If you're not working on personal growth, you're not going to feel fulfilled, or you'll always feel like you're chasing something because your mindset is not growing...
"𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. 𝗜𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴"
So you have to work on your personal growth and consistency. There is also discipline and taking action, but you must have consistency over time. There are four steps and we're only going to go over the first two. And then there are some questions I'm going to ask you after.
If you're just listening, write something down, like a phrase, a quote, or something that you're going to ponder on, and take action tomorrow, or later today.
QUESTIONS To
Ask Yourself:
𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴?
You've got to get up every morning with a determination if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction.
𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲?
"Your future is dependent upon your personal growth. Improving yourself daily guarantees you a future filled with possibilities"

Or can you take five seconds and recall the things that you're thankful for. Do you have a heart of gratitude? It will shift your morning and your mindset. Give yourself a reminder of the things that you're thankful for. It will help shift the environment, so you know what you need to improve.
𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲?
How are you going to get better? You need knowledge, you need experience, and you need coaching.
He labels four types of people, everybody learns differently.

Everybody is in control of something. You are in control of your choices every day. And when you feel like you're in control, you will go after your goals, dreams, and visions. You're in control of yourself.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆-𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲
Detail is their strength, and they need everything written out or they need a list. Anything that inspires you and motivates you.

So most people, when they're reading personal growth books, inspirational books, listening to a motivational speaker, or listening to something online. They're all going to say, personal growth is key.
"𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁? 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. There are so many free YouTube videos, try typing the word "Inspirational". Or search "Les Brown", he is pretty well known. His videos are anything from five minutes to thirty minutes of inspiration.
Take five minutes and read a page, say what you're thankful for, or journal for five minutes. Don't feel like you've got to spend an hour on personal growth. It's just doing something for a very short period of time.
"𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹".

These small things that I do every single day for my personal growth, for my business, and for our kids, nobody sees them. They're disciplines that I do no matter what, but over time, it grows my mindset. Over time it moves my business forward. Over time, it grows my children and our family. Consistency over time.
I set alarm clocks to do actions every single day, so that I get things done, even drinking water. If you can have reminders, go off on your phone every day, you're going to get more things done.
He then talked about being patient. We want everything fast, we live in a pretty instant society. Fast food, we want fast weight loss, and we want instant everything. Everything is microwavable, and I want it right now. But we all know, if you just take a second and understand that you're not going to get that tomorrow. It's going to take consistency over time and some patience.
"𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

If you want to reach these big goals and these big dreams, you're not going to just achieve them just by luck. You're going to have to consistently do the small things every day, even when people have no idea what you're doing.

It's actually okay to seek accountability in this area. I joined CrossFit again yesterday with my daughter, and I work out harder when I have somebody right beside me and when I'm being coached. That's why people hire coaches, they have accountability partners, and mentors. To hold you accountable for reaching your goals.
There are things that you can do by yourself. You know you need to have discipline, patience and you've got to see the value in the process. It's going to take time. If you can't push yourself but you know you want to get better, then you've got to find somebody that will.

Alright! We'll continue tomorrow because there are a lot more things to talk about. My hope is that you were able to get some type of golden nugget. I hope that you have an incredible day, and know that you are worth it. You have value, goals, and gifts. Don't underestimate your power of you.

As you work on yourself and grow, there are people around you that are watching. Whether it's your spouse, your kids, co-workers, or a friend, everybody has somebody's eyeballs on them. So remember that even if people bring you down, it's alright. The more you do something, even when somebody tries to bring you down, it's going to make those people inspired to join you or they might be frustrated and lash out.
Because when you are growing to be a better person, it makes other people feel like they should have probably done it. They might lash out for a while or make you feel insignificant. But know that deep down, they know they need to be a better person. Don't let other people demotivate you. Don't let other people tell you that you can't or you won't. Yes, you can! And you will start with your mindset.
𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁.
Alright, everybody, I hope you have an incredible morning. I look forward to seeing you later, and we'll talk to you soon.
