Misery Loves Company (Dream It, Pin It, Live It! by Terri Savelle Foy)

What's the difference between somebody that's successful and somebody that isn't? You all listen to the same information, but the person that's going to have sucess is the one that does the work and the action.

Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie and we are going to talk about the power of relationships, the proximity of people to you, and sharing your dreams with certain people and not with others.

We're still going through this book, "Dream It, Pin It, Live It" by Terri Savelle Foy. I love to talk about mindset to help you hit your goals. That's what we're focused on going into 2023.

  • What are the goals that you're going after?

  • What do you want this next year?

  • Are you writing them down?

  • Are you hoping for them?

  • Are you actually getting specific with your goals?

𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱.

We're creating vision boards right now and we're not waiting until January. There are a lot of people here that just want to lose some fat, feel better, get healthier, and be stronger, and they want to look a certain way.

How you look and want to feel comes with setting specific goals and having a vision. You have to stay consistent.

What are you willing to do to get that vision and see the number on the scale? It's not a bad thing to feel a certain way, because it's not easy. It can be a simple process done over and over again, but if you want to go somewhere and achieve anything, you're going to have to put in the work.

We're talking about visions, goals, and creating what you want for next year. We talked about S.M.A.R.T. goals. It has to be specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and time-bounded.

We will help you get focused so that after a year, you will have an exponential change in how you feel and look if you're committed.

  • Are you committed?

  • Are you going to be consistent?

  • Are you going to put in the work?

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀.

It's one thing to read a book, but it's another thing to take action, write down your goals, and do all the activities we've been discussing over this last month.

This weekend, I want you to assess your food. Most people say they fell off the bandwagon, or that keto left on vacation and hasn't come back yet, they need my help. If you want to eat healthier and feel better, if it works for you on the weekend, try to plan your meals. Go through your fridge and figure out what your week will look like.

  1. Assess your week.

  2. Make a plan.

  3. Write it down.

  4. Get the specific groceries that you need.

We're going to create a vision for 2023. Sit back at least 30 minutes to an hour or less, once a week and assess your week.

  • What is your week going to look like?

  • Where do you have to be?

  • Where do your kids have to be?

  • Are you going to have a crock pot meal?

  • What happens if you don't have food ready?

We usually end up going out to eat. I'm blessed to be able to carpool or drive my kids back and forth to events and activities. And as soon as two o'clock or three o'clock hits, and I'm not home till late at night, I need to make sure I have water and snacks in my car.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿?

We need a plan and we need to know what we're doing so we don't fall trapped in the French fries. Take some time this weekend and plan a little bit. If you want success in your health and fitness, just do a quick assessment.

I was sitting at Sephora and having lunch with some ladies yesterday, and one of the ladies asked what I ordered because my salad didn't have all the stuff on it. What's great when you go out to eat is, you usually can change it to how you want it.

I ordered a salad with chicken but I wanted a hard-boiled egg. I didn't want the tomato and I wanted a different dressing on the side. That's the power of the "Ask". I actually just made my own salad.

So if you're going to go out to eat, choose the best option possible that's going to help you with your goals.

Last weekend my brain was on some incredible information. We talked about ketones, intermittent fasting, and just health in general. There's a difference between listening to speakers or different people, versus actually doing what they say and taking the action on it.

So if you don't normally plan your meals, can't get back on your game, or can't get back into the mode of eating healthy. You shouldn't say "can't", instead say "I am currently challenged".

The difference between somebody that is successful and somebody that isn't. You all listen to the same information, but the person that's going to have success is the one that does the work and the action. So if you want to have a successful week, I would encourage you to take time and assess your home and your whole week.

That's it! I hope you have a great day, we'll continue with part 2 in a few moments. Bye, everybody!
