Low-Carb Meals For The Family!


    There shouldn't be a meal that you can't make into a low-carb option. So many families are making two meals, spending so much money, and asking for some ideas. I will help make your meals low-carb, we'll figure it out. You can go to Google or even Pinterest, and look for replacements for almost anything. 

Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. I wanted to do a little collaboration because I have many people preparing mainly for Christmas.


So the conversations have been around not wanting to make two meals a day, or specific meals that might work for the entire family.


I want to give you just a basic understanding of how we did it, starting seven and a half years ago. We incorporated our four daughters into our journey, and we avoided saying things like "Mommy and daddy are doing a diet". We all ate healthier, and there were some meals that really helped us as a family.


𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜!

What is your go-to family meal that can be low carb, or for those who don't want to be low carb?


I shared some of our favorite meals, I can make anything in a crock pot, It's super simple with some meat and veggies. We love chili, and you can make that low-carb. You can use any vegetables and meats, then ratio the sauce. The girls can choose to put Fritos or crackers in it.


You can also make yourself some low-carb tortillas and chips, those are super delicious. We love to do crock pot, veggies, and meat. We do chicken tacos and any type of pasta using zucchini noodles.

Don't overthink it!


𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

If you're going to have tacos, use a low-carb wrap. You can also have lettuce or taco salad. I think the biggest thing is people trying to make this diet so perfect. Choose better options, and look for different replacements.


"Eat when you're hungry, not when you're bored".


Eat when your body's hungry, and you can make this work for your entire family. Years ago, when we first started eating this way, the biggest thing I tell parents was to avoid talking about "Mom being fat", "Dad being fat", or "Mom and dad are on a diet"...


"Why would I whine about being fat or complain about the way I look?"


  • I'm fat

  • I don't like how I look

  • I have to eat the salad


If you're constantly complaining, why would your kids want to eat the food that you're eating? Think about it. They're probably thinking the food is only for you. Why would I want to eat that salad, when mom's always complaining about it?


𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀.

Look at your health and goals and be a healthier version of yourself. Do not complain about how you look, just do the best that you can. If I am cooking for other people in our home, I'm not going to gripe about having to make two meals because I'm going to make one. I'm going to be resourceful, and I want my kids to try some vegetables and salads.


My husband said, "Kids are the perfect reflection of the parent's behaviors, habits, and words".


I would challenge you to watch your words and how you speak about your body. If you do that, your kids will eat the food that you serve. When we started eating as a family and making healthier choices, our words were "We're going to eat healthy as a family so that we can take care of our bodies".


We started with one vegetable at a time, and all of us tried it. There were things that we liked and things that we didn't like. And as we tried different things, we found different things to talk about as a family.



I'm also going to talk about my mom fuel or ketones. It's called Keto NAT, but I call it my mom fuel. If you're going to buy yourself a Christmas gift, I want you to buy yourself the gift of health.


"Why do I drink ketones if your body can make ketones?"


If you understand keto, your body can make ketones but not everybody's body can do it. Most people can't sustain a keto diet, nor do they want to. But a lot of people can do low-carb or carb-conscious, and they can eat better. They can make better choices. I will help you with that, we've got a great support system and accountability group.


So the reason I drink ketones is it puts you in ketosis. When we started eating low-carb and making better decisions about eating healthily as a family, this tool helped me. I use it every single day, no matter what.


When I drink this, it puts ketones into my body. I have better so my body knows what to do with the ketones. My body might make them if I'm eating keto. Some of you are on keto, and some of you aren't. There are a lot of you who aren't. But when I drink ketones, they put ketones in my system.

You can try a variety of flavors and see what you think. When I started drinking ketones, I wasn't eating anything green. I lived off of Debbie Snacks and ate a lot of sugar. When you drink Ketones your body uses them as energy and turns on your brain. My body uses them to build muscle to help with my appetite control so you're not snacking all day.


Some of you are drinking a lot of stuff that's not giving you any of those benefits. So when you drink ketones, you can do one or two a day for the first year.


I drink one packet a day and it's the only thing that would help turn my brain on and make me feel like I can dominate my day.


I then started eating better, one meal at a time, one day at a time. I focused on drinking water and eating only when I was hungry and not when I was bored. I chose the best options possible.
