Everything About Vision Boards (Dream It, Pin It, Live It! by Terri Savell Foy)

"You will never leave where you are until you see where you'd rather be. Surrounding yourself with images of your vision causes your dreams to become more alive inside of you. It's a vital component of your success that you surround yourself with what can be, and not just what is". ~Terri Savell Foy

Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie and we are diving into "Dream It, Pin It, Live It" by Terri Savell Foy.

  • We're going to get focused.

  • We're going to dream together.

  • We're going to create together.

  • We're going to get a vision board up with things that are in your heart.

I realized years ago that I can teach you what to do, but if you don't believe in yourself, you have a negative mindset, you don't understand gratitude, you don't have a vision of where you're going, you need to be on a diet but you actually don't understand why then it's never going to work.

Your health is more than just the number on the scale and the food that you put in your mouth. It's important to understand your mindset, and how your words are important because it creates actions. Your actions are the results of what you're getting.

All right! So we're going to go through the introduction of what a vision board is, understand it, how it works, and why you're going to do a vision board. I want to help you with your mindset, it's so important.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱?

"You will never leave where you are until you see where you'd rather be. Surrounding yourself with images of your vision causes your dreams to become more alive inside of you. It's a vital component of your success that you surround yourself with what can be, and not just what is".

It's the power of vision! Most people don't love where they're at, they don't know where they are going, and they don't have a focus. We are going to talk about the power of a vision board, we've done this for years with our kids. Every year we re-examine and talk about our vision from the past.

Every year, we would pick a "Word for the year". My word this year was "Trust". There were a lot of things that I worked through this year with trust. Not only in other people but with a lot of things. I had a pretty big breakthrough last September and I'm trusting myself more now. This year for me was a year of trusting and breaking down walls.

"A vision board adds clarity to your dreams and desires by allowing you to see them. It helps you concentrate and focus on your specific life goals. Basically, it keeps your attention on your intentions".
"The Bible in Proverbs 29:18 says, 'Where there is no vision, the people perish. Vision keeps you alive, it takes you from where you currently are, to where you long to be".

𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲?

But after you feel healthier and stronger, I'm sure you also have other dreams and things you want to go after. Sometimes it's the unhealthy choices and the negativity that holds us back from achieving more.

I know you want to feel good, we will get there. There is no shortage of recipes and tips that I can give you. But a majority of it starts with your mindset, what you're seeing, and what you're speaking.

"When you create a vision in a form of a vision board, vision book, or even on your smartphone. It doesn't matter how you do it, there are different ways to do it".
"Having a vision board will help you on many different levels".
  • It helps you prioritize your goals.

  • It helps you to obtain clarity in your life's purpose.

  • It helps build your faith in God's ability to perform the impossible in your life.

  • It helps boost your confidence and self-esteem.

  • It helps remind you of your mission and what you're called to do.

"When you surround yourself with negative messages in your life, you're going to get negativity. Your vision board will serve as a visual reminder of where you're headed and where you want to go. A vision board is simply a collage of pictures and images that depict your vision of what you're wanting".

What do you have the desire to do, and which places do you want to go?

We went through a book called Chazown by Craig Groeschel. by the way, if you want to watch the other books that we've done, you can go to ketomomsecrets.com and click on Book Club. So the book Chazown talked about the different spokes in your life. You have your spiritual, relationship, financial, health, and work spoken. Or it could be different areas of your life.

𝗦𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱.

  1. What do I want my physical spoke to look like?

  2. What are my dreams and goals for my body?

  3. What are my dreams and goals for my finances?

  4. What are my dreams for my relationships?

  5. What are my dreams for marriage, kids, and friendships?

Start dreaming! Think about your dreams and goals for this next year, and what would they look like?
  • Do I want to pay off some debt?

  • Do I want to take the family on a vacation?

  • Do I want to learn something new like playing the Piano?

I'll tell you something that's on my board that's super scary. It's been on my board for years, and I realized that I actually need to do it. I want to write a book, and I found a course on how to do it. I was going to do the course, but I felt like I was not good enough to do it and I can't commit the time to it. But I know I can do it.

When I'm 80 and walking around the block every morning with my husband. The question I have would be, "What are some things I want to be proud of?", and "What do I want to leave behind for my kids?"

𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆.
If I don't write this book for our girls, I'm going to wish that I would have written the book because I know I need to. It's a part of leaving a legacy, and it scares me.
It's hard because I have an idea but I don't have the clarity.

So anyways, that is going on my dream board this year. I started on Saturday, and I've just been journaling and writing down everything that I can. I'm committed to writing 10 minutes a day. That's it, I'm going to do it, and we'll see where it goes.

This Keto Mom page is not just about fat loss, it's about helping people in a lot of different areas. I would love for you to share this, and then take somebody on the journey with you. Maybe you know somebody who needs vision and support, not only in their health but in a lot of different things.

"If you see nothing, I'm convinced that you can expect nothing. If your life hasn't progressed over the past five years, then perhaps you need vision, and a clear one at that. Just as you would never get into a car and drive having no idea where you're going. You should never live your life without a clear mapped-out destination in your mind".

The word "Trust" for me this year was super important. And it was something that I focused on. We'll talk more about that as we start creating your vision boards. So start praying and thinking about your one word. What word do you need to focus on?

"If you don't know where you're headed, then then any road will take you there".

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Oftentimes people have been working on this for so long, but because they don't have a clear direction in front of them, it does not work.

  • Do you plan?

  • Do you prepare?

  • Do you have an intention behind what you're doing?

I hope that you join me on this journey. I'm doing this mainly for me because we've accomplished so many goals last year, and now it's time to get refocused.

So anyways, that's just the introduction to this book. I would encourage you to go through the introduction, and I'm going to take it as slowly as possible.

The book doesn't take long, what takes longer is if you have not dreamed in a long, long time. So dig in and figure out what is it that you really want.

"What's in front of you is far more important than what's behind you. Reach for those things which are ahead. In order to reach for those, you have to be clear on what are those things. Your dreams and goals need to be clarified".

𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱.

You've got to put the new car, fat loss, and the things that you're wanting to put on the dream board and place it on the refrigerator. Put it in places where you're going to see it.

I promise you if you put in the work and do some of the hard things, like dreaming and believing in yourselves, achieving something great, or maybe even feeling worthy. Not true! You can still achieve, it doesn't matter how old you are.

My dad always says this, "If you're not dead, you're not done".

Alright! That's it! Thank you for tuning in, and I hope you have an incredible morning. I appreciate you and we'll talk to you very soon. Bye!
