Hey! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie and we're going to talk about "You get what you focus on", "You get what you look at", "You get what's in front of you"... What does that mean? So, as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? We are continuing this book, "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy. So if you're brand new, and you're asking why? We're going through a book every single day, or we go through a few pages. My hope is that you can either listen or read the book with us, and that you're doing the actions. Because it's in doing the actions in whatever you're learning, that will change your life and help you achieve your goals. We are on chapter five, we're going through the next three pages and end on page sixty.

Welcome to day 9 of our Book 6 session

By the way we have a birthday girl in our home. So all of you who follow me on my stories said "Another birthday?"... We have lots of birthdays, at the end of the summer and going into the fall.

So I want to share with you also that we're going to be doing this book next. If you want to get the book, the title is "Think and Grow Rich" and the author is Napoleon Hill.

The book is incredible! Do not be deceived by the title, because it's an amazing book. It's going to take us a little while because it's pretty thick, but it's an amazing book. So "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill is the book we're going to go through next month. You can go ahead and grab it. Going back, this is the book we're going through right now, "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy.

And we are creating a vision board. You might ask "Should we not have done that in January?" Yes! "Is it too late to do it?" No! And we're not going to wait until the next January to do it.

So I would love to know, what would be one thing, if you're going to create a vision board or maybe not, maybe you're just listening. But if you are going to create a vision board, I'd love for you to share below what is one thing that will be on your vision board. A really quick recap, the book is telling you to start dreaming and writing a hundred and one things you want to accomplish in your entire life. Big dreams and Big goals. We're going to create a board that will have three, or five to ten things that you can accomplish in the next twelve to eighteen months. So we're going to go through this next chapter, and by the end of the month, we're going to create a board and I'll also show you my board.

We're on chapter five, and she says "Display your Destiny".

Why in the world do we need a vision board? Because I have it up here, in my mind. Maybe you're going to say "I have my goals up here in my mind and I know what I want. So why do I have to write them down?"... She says "That you keep before your eyes will come to pass"... It's biblical, and there is science to back it up, so whichever way you choose to look at it.

Your goals will take time to accomplish, so be patient

She tells a story of a man, who after the Great Depression, wanted a hotel chain. I actually think it was Mr. Hilton of the Hilton Hotels, I think it's the same man. But the thing that really stood out is he would go to New York, he would see this hotel that he wanted, and he would keep it before his eyes. It was something he was working towards. This is something that I underlined, it said "Eighteen years later, he acquired the hotel"...

So when you're writing down things for your big dreams and your goals, we have a list that will start of things you want in your life. Eighteen years, who knows, there might be something on this list that could take eighteen years also.

But I'm going to keep it before my eyes, and look at my goals and dreams because of the desire of my heart.

So a lot of you might be saying "I just want fat loss right now and I'll be happy" Awesome! We're going to create a board that has five to ten things on it, that you will achieve in the next year. It's going to be fat loss, or maybe you want to get healthy. What do you want?... Chapter Four talked about finding pictures and visuals that back up your goal. So example, if you want to run, you're going to find a running picture. If you want to achieve a certain weight, we're going to find a picture of you from the past, or you're going to write it down in a number. All of these different things that you want to achieve in the next year. And maybe one big thing that you want, over the course of eighteen years, just like Mr. Hilton wanted the hotel.

I remember, we've talked about this before, "Out of sight, out of mind"... I talked about this with food, like if you work from home, I homeschool, we homeschool our four daughters. If I keep a whole bunch of snacks and things in front of me all day long, and if I'm emotional or bored and I walk through my kitchen, it's going to be easy for me to grab the snack off the counter because it's right in my sight. And just eat it without thinking.

Place you boards in a strategic place so you can see it everyday

So oftentimes, if I'm coaching you on eating better, I'll ask "What do you have at your office or in the employee lounge?", "What's in your kitchen?", "What are you seeing"... Because if you're seeing it, you're going to naturally go and grab it and then you're going to overeat.

She talks about keeping your vision board in your sight, because if it's "Out of sight then it's Out of mind"... Naturally, you will not go and look at it, you will not see it, you will not meditate on the things that you're wanting, because it's out of your sight.

So this is your vision reminder of what you expect to accomplish. Your vision board, you're going to put it in a place that you can see every day. She talks about the law of attraction and the law of vision. "Your vision is your future that you need to meditate on day and night". So we're going to create these boards. And we're going to put them in a strategic place in your home so that you can go ahead and see them.

The point is whatever you focus on, you will eventually develop in your life. She says super successful coaches actually recommend starting your day with looking at your vision board, and ending your night with looking at your vision board.

So she tells a whole bunch of different stories. We're going to end on page sixty, and I don't think I'm going to do a live tomorrow, maybe one later on Sunday, mainly because we're going to be driving all over the place this weekend for for volleyball tournaments, and horse. A little fun horse thing for our daughter. So what I would love for you to do is if you have not started writing your goals down. Your action step is to write down five to ten things you can accomplish in this year. You can start adding to your hundred and one goals of things you want to accomplish in your life. If you want to start printing pictures out, start printing pictures out. So that you can visually make a vision board and we can see what you want to achieve.
