"We always reap more than we sow. What you give is what you get. Your dreams are no different, you must sow for each of the dreams that you want to harvest in your life". ~Terri Savelle Foy
Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie and we are going to continue to dive into "Dream It, Pin It, Live It" by Terri Savelle Foy.
I just want to give you a word for today to help you as you go through your morning. This page (Keto Mom), while it started with just recipes, I've realized that most people that want to lose weight usually have a challenge in other areas of their lives. It could be financial, relationships, or spiritual, all of those things correlate together.
Your finances and relationships are tied to your weight loss or weight gain. It creates sadness or anger and it makes you want to eat. I love to help people in different areas of their lives. We've done brainstorming and set S.M.A.R.T. goals for next year.
But there are some people that don't even have an awareness of setting goals for the next year, and that's what I want to help you do.
It's really just awareness, and it's not because people do not want to do it, but they probably have never done it before.
What is your vision for next year?
What are your goals for next year?
What are you believing for?
What do you want?
What are you hoping for?
You also have to understand that all of those things take time. It needs consistent effort, and energy, and the keyword are "Action".
What does keto look like for the general population?
What does diet actually look like?
How can we make this work for everybody?
Why are you gaining weight?
Why are you not losing weight?
CHAPTER 10: The Hidden Key To Living Your Dreams.
Sometimes, people feel like...
I don't know if I have a dream.
I'm too old.
I have missed the boat.
I don't, I can't, I don't have...
It's never too late, you're not too old or too young. Money shouldn't play a factor in this because this is about what's truly in your heart and some things that you want to go after. Some would say they don't have the time and resources, for all of those things. I don't want you to think about that right now.
"My dad taught me the profound principle that states you may not always have what you need, but you're never without the seed that will produce it. Basically, whenever you have a need, so we'll see".
I would love to know where you're at in your mindset. Rate your mindset from 1 to 10.
1 - Cranky pants! Your mind is in the gutter and you're more pessimistic than optimistic.
10 - Life is great! You love everybody and everything. You have an "I get to" mindset.
I get to get up.
I get to do this.
I get to clean my house.
I get to take out the garbage.
I get to bake for children.
I get to go clean the dog's poop out on the deck.
It's good to have awareness. "You reap what you sow?".
If you get up and you're so negative with your words and towards people, yelling at your kids or spouse, then your day will end up negatively. Vice versa, if you get up and you're encouraging, listening to a good podcast, encouraging people, and opening up doors for people, then you're day will end up positively. "You reap what you sow".
"We always reap more than we sow. What you give is what you get. Your dreams are no different, you must sow for each of the dreams that you want to harvest in your life".
Our CEO and one of our very good friends said, "What you give you have forever".
If you're going to create a vision board, I also want you to put on the lens and see a different perspective. If you want something, you need to give your time, and words and help create a better relationship.
"When you want something you need to go give it. It's not your job to figure out how your dreams will manifest, your responsibility is to stay focused on your vision, sow seeds towards it, and trust God".
"Remember this phrase, when what you see inside becomes more real than what you see outside it's just a matter of time".
The author also talked about making money. She had a huge financial goal, so she did not go crazy about her goal, but she looked for other people to sow into. She sowed in and helped other people as she was waiting for God to open up doors of opportunity. She focused on her own visions, and also on what she could sow into others.
"We want instant results, or else we declare that it isn't working. Be wise like a farmer, knowing the harvest takes time".
That's what I really wanted to hit on today. I want you to think about a surrounding area of farmland. I took a picture this spring of the field after it was raining, and the snow was gone. And I told my girls that it's going to be incredible come August and September because that's when the corn is going to be so high and that's going to be harvest time.
Every time I drove by the fields, I always think about how patient the farmers are. They plant the seeds, water and cultivate them, and be patient. There are also some things they're not responsible for. Like they can't control the weather, so they don't stress about that. But they do all they can, as they plant the seed, water it, and watch it grow over time.
It wasn't overnight, two weeks, or even four months. Some of you get so stuck in this instant gratification world between your phones, the swipes, and the notifications. You think people had instant success, but you don't truly understand the work, time, and sweat that they put in to get what they have.
Success means different things to different people.
I want you to remember when your setting your goals for 2023, is that there's seed time and harvest time. There's time to put in the work, time to write it down, journal, and do the actions from this book. Take some time and actually figure out your word for the year.
This is one of our daughter's boards that she just started creating. She's nine, and she showed us some things that she wanted to work on.
I didn't say you can only pick specific S.M.A.R.T. goals that are going to be accomplished in 12 to 18 months. Some of these things she can accomplish, and some she might not accomplish until she's an adult.
I'm not saying you can't have a huge goal, but I want you to focus on little wins so that you don't quit.
I don't know what happened in your life to make you feel like you're not worthy, or why you stopped dreaming. I actually had to work on it. I don't remember why I stopped dreaming years ago, I don't know why I thought I couldn't be great. Or I couldn't have certain things, or I couldn't accomplish certain things. I just was very matter-of-fact. The majority of adults don't allow themselves to dream, or to be silly.
My dad said, "If you're not dead, you're not done".
When you keep the vision in front of you, it helps you walk throughout your day with a different perspective, verbiage, thinking, and mindset, with different choices. You will start finding yourself naturally and making better choices because you have a vision in front of you.
I hope it helps you in some way, shape, or form. The whole conversation was about seed time and harvest time. Be wise like a farmer, have an understanding of a farmer who plants seeds, and reaps the harvest.
I hope you guys have an incredible day and we'll talk to you guys soon. Bye, everybody!
