Morning Mindset: Challenge Yourself

Updated: Sep 9, 2022

What if I did something for 120 days? Would it change my life? 100%! It would change your life! It'll change your habits and your systems. It will help you stay focused, and get you on track. You won't have to set a New Year's resolutions, because you're already ahead of everybody else. If you fail, then just get back up and keep going.

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie, and I'm tuning in from Minnesota. I want you to think about this question as we're diving into a new season.

What if you gave everything that you could to the goal that you want to achieve for the next 120 days, until the end of the year?

What if you become intentional and focused on figuring out what you actually want for the next 120 days?

I want you to be really honest with yourself...

  • What do you want to see?

  • What do you want to accomplish?

  • What forward motion do you want to start?

  • What do you want?

  • What do you want to achieve?

  • What do you want to achieve in 120 days for your health?

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟮𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴. 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
It can either motivate you to believe that 120 days is only a short time or you might feel like 120 days is too long and you want to see results in two weeks or right now.

120 days can change a ton of things. It's a new season, kids are back in school, and we've got sports, and it doesn't mean it's not going to be a less busy season. It means that we're shifting, and if you're from Minnesota I joke about diving into hibernation mode.

There are a lot of fun things happening. We just got back from Florida and it's a great day. It's a great day because I choose it to be a great day. My mindset is on point and I know my words are powerful. I speak life and not death. And I want to encourage you that you can do the same.

So what do you really want? That's an extra level of accountability. Get your mindset right, you can do anything for 120 days and until the end of the year. If you can run into that kind of mindset till the next year, then you're already ahead of the game, and ahead of most people.

I want you to know that there's no overnight success.

𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀.

When you're watching people on social media, you have to understand that you didn't see the years of hard work, ups, and downs, falls, hiccups, or even chaos. You are only seeing the end result.

People actually spend months and years getting to where they want to go. The only way you fail is if you quit.

If you start now and something happens or something doesn't go the way that you want it to, then just stay focused. Write down the things you want to accomplish in 120 days, and focus on changing your habits.

You also have to get specific. Two years ago, I did 120 days of absolutely no sugar, not even a Keto treat. I told myself that I'm doing it, and I felt incredible. I felt that I could see results and definition, and I could see my body shifting and changing by that one focus of absolutely no treats.

My treat was ketones, it was a little bit sweet but it was totally fine because it kept me focused.

THIEVES OF PRODUCTIVITY

These things can make you slip up, or try to take away your dreams, goals, and your 120-day focus.

1. The Inability to say "No".

You have to be able to say no. Two years ago, when I stuck to 120 days of no sweets or sugar, I said no to all desserts. Because I was focused, I had a goal and an end game in mind. The word "NO" can be very powerful. It's not really a rude word. It's not meant to hurt anybody else. It's just that you have a focus and a goal.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆 "𝗡𝗢", 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝘆.

I'm very well aware that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. But if you can say no now to some things, think of all the things you can say yes to. Think of the habits that will be easier to change.

2. The Fear of Chaos.

It doesn't mean that in the next 120 days, you won't have slip-ups. Things will happen, and you might have days where you messed up, but that's okay.

The focus isn't perfection!

We don't mess up good for perfect! We do the best we can, and we stay focused. Get back up and keep going. Two years later, I haven't had any sugar and I'm about to go into a different season of focusing on strength gain. This isn't about perfection.

𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.
We're going to work on changing those habits, and then the environments that do not support your goals. Be aware of the people that you're around, and your environment.

If there are places that you go where you physically can't say no to, then don't go. Or you can go but you must have accountability. Tell the people there that you've got goals, so they should stop shoving that cake in your mouth. Tell them you are focused, and you need them to help you.

Ask somebody to help you, but if you can't find anyone then you're going to have to lean into your own discipline and focus. You can do it!

It's nice to have other people accountable, but not everybody has somebody. Plugging into a support team, an accountability group or a page can help you set up for success.

  • You're going to have to learn to say No.

  • You're going to have to learn to be focused.

  • You're going to have to learn to have discipline.

  • You can totally do it in 120 days.

Can you do 120 days focused on something? Yes! You can!

Because you're really not going to see a crazy change in your fat loss, or even in the way that you look in just a couple of weeks or even a month. You might feel better, but you might still get frustrated because the scale doesn't meet the needs or the goals, or the number that you want.

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀? 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽! 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿.

There are so many ways to measure fat loss, like how your clothes are fitting. If you feel like it's not working, then you're going to have to track your food. You can also measure the inches lost, and take pictures showing the different ways you look, that you can't see for yourself.

  • Can you walk further?

  • Can you lift more?

  • Do you sleep better?

  • Are you a happier person?

All of those things are healthier, and it's showing your progress moving forward. So you have to be okay with that, because you didn't get here overnight, so you're not going to get there overnight.

  • What if I did this for 120 days?

  • What if I went to the gym five days a week, for 120 days?

  • What if I said no to sugar?

  • What if I shut off the TV and read more?

  • What if I got up, journaled, and read for 20 minutes every single morning?

Could you imagine the mindset you would have in 120 days?
What if I did something for 120 days? Would it change my life? 100%! It would change your life!

It'll change your habits and your systems. It will help you stay focused, and get you on track. You won't have to set a New Year's resolution because you're already ahead of everybody else.

So that was just the thought that I had this morning. "What if!"... What is your what if? Are you going to do it? I don't know if it would help to do an accountability video every day for 120 days. I don't know if you just want to message me and I'll help you. It was just on my mind today, don't be afraid to say no. The power of "No", stay focused, it's going to be a little chaotic but it's totally fine.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁.

So that's all I have for you, send me a message with your goals. I want to help you, whether you need a food list or just getting started and you don't have a basic food list I would love to give that to you. You can go to ketomomsecrets.com, you can click on recipes, book club, or can click on how to get started.

I will continue to come on in the mornings to give you an inspirational message, or to give you a thought to think about to help you move forward and not backward.

That is the key and that is the point. Consistent action over time is super important.

I hope you guys have an incredible day. Your mindset is more important than your food. Food is also super important, but it comes next. If you understand, if you have an awareness of a couple of things, and your mindset is on point, then you will make better choices because your mind is on point.

Alright! We'll talk to you soon, Bye! everybody.
