Hey! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. And we are going to set up today, to dive into this next month and create your vision. We're going to talk about vision boards and what you see, or what's in front of you, or the goals that you are chasing, or lack thereof, is what you're going to get. We're going to talk about that, and this saying right here "If you don't know where you're headed, then any road will take you there"... And you will get there, we're going to talk about that. So, as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? I'm going to start today with a joke, because my hope is that you can wake up every morning, tune in here, either while you're reading the book with us, or you're following along.
My hope is to make you laugh, and to inspire you. My hope is to help you dream and believe in yourself, I'm here to help you with all of your goals.
So we're going to start the morning off with a joke... "How do clowns like their eggs to be cooked?" Funny side up! Haha, you should tell your kids. Okay! One more, you ready? "Which day of the week are eggs scared of?" Friday! Fry-day! Get it?... All right, so I hope that gave you a little giggle. How's your morning going and where are you tuning in from? Tomorrow, we're going to start this book "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy. Maybe you will watch this next week and it's not your tomorrow, but we're diving into this book.
My hope is to help you understand the power of visualization, of having goals in front of you and not just in your mind.
Because a lot of you say "I want to lose some weight", "I want to feel better", "I want to work out more", but you don't have it written down. You don't have it in front of you and it's easy to forget, when you simply say "Yep, I want to lose fifty pounds", "Yep, I want to go to the gym three times a week", "Yes, I want to fit into this outfit", or "I want to go on this vacation". Whatever the case may be, it's great to say it, but it's even greater to write it down and put it in a journal.
But when you have a board or visual pictures in front of you, it changes the way you go after things. Visualization and having things in front of you are going to help you reach your goals.
That's what we are going to do in this next season. So we're going to take this book and read six pages (it's three solid pages, front and back) everyday. You can keep going, you can go as fast as you want, but I'm going to take this book a little bit slower, talk about it, and then we will actually create the vision boards at the end of the month, the last five days. So my hope is to get through the book in twenty five days, get the book finished and completed and do the vision boards in the last five days of the month. You can follow along here, you can read the book with me or just listen and do the actions that I'm going to give you.
So the Introduction, I just underlined a couple things and I'll talk about this "Why do we need a vision board?"... It says "You will never leave where you are until you see where you want to go"...
Where do you want to go? What are your goals for this next season? Kids are back in school, and maybe you've got a little bit more time to yourself. I homeschool, I've always homeschooled. If you want to know what we do follow me on my stories, I shared a lot of homeschool stuff yesterday. I'm not going to get into that, a lot of people ask why we homeschool. We just choose to, it's a part of our family. It works for us, and we like being around our kids. I know some of you ask "Why do you do that?", I actually enjoy it. My husband is the principal, the tech support and the fourth grade teacher and I'm doing some of the other things, so it's great. It works for our family and we love it. So going back, "Why are we creating vision boards?"...
This book is going to walk us through the why, the how, helping you get it set up. What are your goals? How do we dream and what do we actually do?
It says "Surround yourself with images of your vision, causes you to dream, to become more alive inside of you. It is a vital component of your success, that you surround yourself with what can be and not just what is"... We're going to talk about what can be. What do you want? What did you think? What was on your New Year's resolution? Maybe you created a vision board in January, maybe you had all of these dreams of what you were going to do this year. And now we have to revisit them. What are you wanting? I feel like when we're diving into the fall, and kids are back in school, our life isn't slowing down, but it's just different. So maybe you have a little bit more time to think, to revisit, to dream, to write down and say "Okay, I need to rest and reset. I need to figure out where I'm at and I need to start back on my goals and taking care of myself"... A lot of you are here for fat loss, or to get your health under control. I had a great conversation with somebody yesterday. How do I get back on track? How do I stay focused and energized? And how do I keep going? We're going to work on creating a vision board to help you on all that.

That's what we're gonna do, it's going to be fun and I'm excited. So I loved how she said this "If you see nothing, I'm convinced you can expect nothing. If your life hasn't progressed over the last five years (let's just say the last eight months. If you haven't reached your goals, or haven't gone anywhere. If you felt stuck, or if you felt like you're in the same spot) then perhaps you need a vision and a clear one. Just as you would never get in a car and drive, having nowhere to go. It's the same idea with your life, you shouldn't live your life without a clear mapped out destination in mind"...
If you don't know where you're headed, then you can hop on any road because you're going to get nowhere.
Some of you might be saying "I don't like that", but it's okay. We're going to dive in and I'm going to help you on your journey. We're going to help you have a vision, have a purpose, remind yourself where you're going. "What's in front of you is far more important than what's behind you"... We're not going to focus on the past, we're not going to focus on last eight months, and we're not going to focus on "I wish I would have". It doesn't matter, we're going forward and that's what we're going to do with this book. "We're going to reach for those things which are ahead in order to reach for those you have to be clear on those things. Your dreams, your goals need to be clarified". And we're going to do that together in this book "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy.
So tune in tomorrow, we're going to dive into the first couple pages. We're going to go through this book, the entire month and for the last five days, we're going to create your vision board.
And we're going to go after these dreams, go after the goals and we're going to put these visions in front of you. A lot of you are on a health journey, so I'm going to help you with all of that.
