Good morning! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. My name is Stephanie, and we are going to dive into our morning mindset. There are so many things here on the page that are meant to help you grow as a person. Your goal might be to eat healthily, feel better, get stronger, or lose weight. All of those things are incredible, but I also want to help you understand the power of your mindset.

We're wrapping up this book, "The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth" by John Maxwell. And then we will be starting "The Miracle Morning", hopefully, this week. This is to help create systems and habits in your life. Because even if you go after your goals, but you don't actually change a habit or create new systems, then you didn't really change anything. You might reach a goal, but that's why most people fall back and gain all the weight back or start over again.

Today is Tuesday, and it's the beginning of the month. It's my birthday month, my birthday is on February 25. If you went after some goals, I'd love for you to share them with me. If you have any specific questions, just ask me. Alright! We're wrapping up this chapter that we started yesterday.

The Law of

Curiosity

“𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵”

Most people don't like to look foolish. Most people don't like to share that they're doing the Keto lifestyle, or that they've got health goals. Because if they fail, they don't want people to tell them that it didn't last very long, or that it didn't work.

Most people don't get out of their comfort zone for fear of failure. But if you look at failure as a learning opportunity, it changes everything.

The author, John Maxwell, said he tells people when they're afraid to fail, to get over themselves and they will just be fine.

“𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀”

You might feel like you failed, but you actually learned and it pushes you to grow and become better.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿?
"𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, '𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?' 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗲".
𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 (𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳) 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 '𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?'".

It's a simple twist of words, not "Can I do this?", but "How?". We talked about having curiosity and asking good questions. This entire book is simply helping you become a better version of yourself, not thinking small and not living in your comfort zone.

“The cure to boredom or the cure to complacency really is curiosity”
  • Are you willing to try new things?

  • Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone?

  • Are you willing to learn from other people?

The next chapter is called the “Law of Modeling”. He's going to talk about not having somebody in your life to push you. It might be just you, your home and your friends. You might be going, “I don't know everything, but I am the person that I'm learning from”.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀

The next chapter is going to talk about modeling other people. That's why it's powerful to read books, listen to podcasts or find people that you value their input from afar. There are certain people I watch online to learn from, and then the power of taking action of what you're learning.

You don't want to just watch somebody or read something, and then never put those learnings into action.

So that's what the next chapter is all about, the power of modeling other people until you become the leader. And then we will go to "The Law of Expansion", which is about growing your capacity. And then we will wrap up with, "The Law of Contribution", which is all about learning or teaching what you know.

I have my sister with me, and I told her we’re talking about the power of mindset. My sister also loves to read, I think our whole family likes self-development. And so, people want to get healthier, or their goal is to lose fat. But if they don't have the right mindset, it's not going to stick.

“That's exactly what I say, just hustle”

My sister teaches cycling classes. And if you have a negative mindset, if you're not willing to learn and grow, it doesn't matter because it's not going to work.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱'𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲

“Well, to be quite honest, why else are we here? It's not about being beautiful. It's literally being here to glorify God. So, in cycling, we have fun, but I only do Christian music because it's getting your mind right. Obviously, we’re here to get healthy, because our bodies are the temple of God. Some people would say that I am obsessed with getting healthy, but I'm actually just taking care of God's temple".

You only get one life!

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣!
"Just like Chelsea Crist, a Miss USA who I adored and she was so sweet, bright, and beautiful. From her online posts, she really seemed like the happiest girl ever.
She seemed like she had everything going for her, and suddenly she committed suicide".

All she had to do is get in the word that day or reach out to somebody. I think so many people fixate on how you're looking on the outside. That's why most people are here because they talk about getting healthy. They want to live a long, healthy life, and they want to feel good. But it's actually working on the inside and eventually, it will show on the outside. It really will. But it takes finding mentors, working on your mindset, reading, and all those things.

“It's like what Annie said to me the other day. Annie's not here sitting saying, 'Brittany, I love you because you're thin or fit, but because you make people happy'"…

Anyways, we're going to start "The Miracle Morning" soon. I've already read this book many times. And it's going to help people own their mornings. You get up, you work out and you've got your mindset. Basically, he gives you steps to either create an hour worth of reading, meditating, journaling, praying, filling your body with the right fuel, or working out.

𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.
He gives you, six steps and if you can own your morning, you're going to make better choices throughout the day. You're going to be happier, smile more at people, and you're not going to be crabby to your spouse or your kids. It's going to set the course of your day.

We sometimes get so fixated on checking our messenger and doing the things that we have to do and letting other people tell us what to do. Okay, my sister is going to go for a run, and then we're going to do a workout on the beach later.

Alright! So the last thing I want to tell you is an incredible story by Hal Elrod from the book, "The Miracle Morning". He shared about a crazy accident that happened. I'm not going to give you the details, but this is what he said after.

“𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲, 𝗜 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄. 𝗜 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝘁. 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱”

What I love about this book, "The Miracle Morning", is it's going to give you a layout of what your morning could look like so that you can own your morning. It's talking about sitting in silence, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, and journaling. If you can get up, get focused and get your mornings on track, you will just be a happier person. You'll reach goals, you'll feel better, you'll inspire others around you, and you just might inspire yourself. You'll be proud of yourself, for sure.

With all that, I hope you guys have an incredible morning. You can always reach out with any questions that you have. There are tons of different recipes, tips, and tricks to help you on your actual keto journey. But I do believe it's the power of your mindset that gets you on track.

I hope you have a great day. reach out with any questions you have. We'll talk to you soon.
