There are a lot of incredible things we're going to share with you tonight. Here's a quick bit of my story, I'm a homeschool mom of four daughters. When we started drinking ketones, it was seven and a half years ago, and they were all babies.
I was told to drink ketones by my husband. Years ago, my husband wanted to do the keto diet. I remember my husband coming home from work saying he needed to lose 50 pounds and he said he was going to do this keto diet. I remember watching him weigh his food, track everything that he ate, and prick his finger to see if he was in ketosis.
I remember thinking, "I'm not going to do that". But he came home one day saying he found something and if it works, it's going to change thousands of lives. All I had to do was drink this little packet with some water, and I'll be in ketosis in under an hour.
I'm going to have Dr. Ryan Lowry, explain to you the difference between your body making ketones versus drinking ketones. So my husband said I could drink the product and not have to do the diet. So I took the product, went away to a homeschool conference, and I drank it. That day, I was pretty sure I was the only mom awake at the conference.
And so after that, I told my husband not to give the ketones to anybody else. I knew I needed ketones every single day. I did not have to be eating keto, but I still felt amazing. I decide to call it my mom fuel, and that's what I've done for seven and a half years.

I'm going to have Dr. Ryan Lowery. Come as my guest today, and he is one of the formulators of our product. And he also co-authored a really great book with Dr. Jacob Wilson called "The Ketogenic Bible". So if you're looking for resources, grab the Ketogenic Bible.
STEPHANIE: Dr. Ryan Lowery, I'm super excited to have you here. How are you?
DR. RYAN: I'm doing great. How are you?
STEPHANIE: So good to see you, we are all super excited. First of all, tell us who you are and explain briefly what are actual ketones in the body versus drinkable ketones.
DR. RYAN: Absolutely! Well, first of all, thank you guys for having me. I'm super excited to be here with you tonight. I am Dr. Ryan Lowery, I've been studying ketones but it really started with the ketogenic diet. I started doing a ketogenic diet over 11 years ago, it was crazy.
Before, Keto was the cool kid on the block. At that time it was only studied for people with epilepsy or high-level military people. And so we were kind of the first ones to go down that avenue...
What is this ketogenic diet?
Can you use it for performance?
Can it help with brain function?
DR. RYAN: Very quickly, we realized the main benefit of the ketogenic diet stems from this elevation in ketones. And so we thought "Wouldn't it be really cool if you can get this elevation in ketones without having to eat this restrictive ketogenic diet?"... And it was made possible with this thing called exogenous ketones. That was over six years ago when we first started, and that's when I met Brian Underwood, our CEO. Since then we've been hitting the ground running with ketones and learning more and more.
I'm still learning about it every single day, six years later. Hopefully, for some of you that have never heard about it, you can start to understand how powerful this technology is.
DR. RYAN: The ketones that we provide in our packets are basically the same as the ones produced inside our bodies. It's the same exact form.
We're going to be talking a lot about the power of intermittent fasting in 2023. Condensing our eating window gives us the main benefit of producing ketones. But we have a packet that delivers that same powerful technology of ketosis within it. And very quickly, we realized that you can stack the benefits of ketones.
The world is facing a crisis right now, and that crisis is food, snacks, processed sugars, and carbohydrates. STEPHANIE: How I like to explain it from a mom's point of view, is that your body can make ketones by doing the keto diet. But if you did the diet, it would be like going to visit Dr. Ryan at his labs by hopping on my minivan and driving there. Versus my husband flying and seeing Dr. Ryan in two hours.
It would take me at least three days driving, to actually get there. Which is similar to the diet. I'm slowly trying to get to Dr. Ryan but my husband will be there and in two hours, just by hopping into a plane.
That show this product works, you will be in ketosis in under an hour. So you can still do the diet, but not everybody will get into ketosis. This product will help you get there quicker without doing the keto diet.
So, Dr. Ryan, I drink this for energy. My husband wanted to lose 50 pounds of fat loss. Can you go over what are all the benefits? I have a lot of moms saying they needed some fat loss and energy. I know there are athletes that use ketones and some sit at a desk and use ketones.
DR. RYAN: Absolutely! It extends far, and it's harder to determine who it's "Not" for than who it's for. We talked about appetite control, that's one area for anyone who's looking for fat loss. It's almost guaranteed it will help you eat less. Even if you're not on a ketogenic diet, but because you feel better, you innately make better choices. You're going to make better choices instead of stopping at McDonald's again.
We work with some of the top-level professional athletes in the world. And honestly, moms are right up there with professional athletes. No, if and or buts about it, you guys are athletes because you have to deal with kids running around, and bouncing a million different things. It's incredible!
Optimizing brain function is critical, and something that most people don't know is after the age of 35, we start increasing our chances of developing "Type III diabetes". Type three diabetes is insulin resistance of the brain. It's when we start forgetting the keys to the car or where our cell phone is. That means our brains can't run as well on the candy as our kids do.
Our brains need a different source of fuel, and ketones are the fuel source our brains can utilize.
There are tunnels that go into our brains that only use carbohydrates and glucose. Imagine if all those tunnels are shut down in one day. It would be like traveling into a big city like New York using these different tunnels. Cars get backed up, and they're no longer allowed to get into the city. But there are still tunnels that allow cars into the city, and those tunnels are what take up and utilize ketones. Our brain will always have those tunnels, even though the other tunnels are closed down.
We just need to be able to provide that fuel to our bodies, and we can do that with this packet.
STEPHANIE: So good! I also remember you teaching about our chronological age versus our biological age, and how food plays a factor in that. I think that's powerful because I'm about to turn 40 but I'm sure my actual body age is 30. Please tell us about that.
DR. RYAN: You look amazing! That's right! So, your chronological age is when you were born up to today. Most people identify with their chronological age.
Just because you're biologically 40, you want to be operating like you're 30, and that's possible. Unfortunately, in today's society people are chronologically 40, yet biologically 60. Ketones actually have a major impact on how well our bodies run.
Think about your car, it can run on good fuel or it can be junked up and not running well. Which one do you want?
You want your body to be running very efficiently, and ketones have a lot of anti-aging and a lot of longevity factors. It helps with turning back the clock, so to speak on your biological age.
STEPHANIE: I love it! Now, let's dive into how to use them. How do you use the product? Should people drink one or two a day? When is the best time to drink it?
DR. RYAN: I don't know if anyone's ever tried dry fasting dry. Most people find it very difficult to do, including myself. But we now have a tool that not only helps accelerate and get better benefits to the fast, but it helps you prolong that fast. So, the way I utilize the product is as soon as I get up in the morning, I immediately have a packet with my other vitamins and other things that I take. And then I take a non-caffeinated ketone in the afternoon. That helps me in the period when we're typically snacking.
It pushes me to not be as hungry for dinner, which is when most people splurge and go over the top. So I think it's something in the morning that can help kind of extend that fast. I work out in the morning, so it's a great pre-workout fuel.
DR. RYAN: When you're feeling low, "hangry", or you just need an extra kick in the butt or brain, ketones are something to kind of light up your brain and help with that focus.
STEPHANIE: I love it! So I hear a lot about the "Naturally-fermented ketone process". You explained that our product matches how my body makes ketones. So that means I can drink this, and it will match what my body creates. Will you please explain that part?
DR. RYAN: Absolutely! So we all have keys that open up our doors. You probably have key rings with 50 keys on them, and there's one key that opens up that deadbolt on your door. We are the only company in the world that uses the exact identical key that goes inside our cells, which gets taken up and utilized at a cellular level.
You might see ketones at Walmart or Target, but it's not taken up and utilized, and they're probably being excreted or peed out of your body. What we want is for you to utilize what you are consuming. So we have a bio-identical form, but it's also naturally fermented.
We combine those two, to create this naturally-fermented, bioidentical ketone. And we're the only company in the world that has it.

CHRISSY: Yes! My name is Christy petty, I live in Orange County, California. I've been drinking ketones for about three and a half years now. And my story is very different from Stephanie's. I was in a career that I was very unhappy with, and I was tired and resentful. I was stressed and frustrated. I didn't really know what to do because I thought my skill set was only at this one place I had worked in for so long.
And so I gained weight, I had really bad acne, and I just wasn't taking care of myself. I started keto because I wanted to work on my health before I look into another career because that seemed daunting to me. I loved it, and I felt amazing. I didn't really eat anything that was off-plan for almost a year. And I was introduced to ketones when I was going to head on a vacation. I was actually getting stressed thinking about going on this trip. I was going to London to see the Spice Girls, and I was really excited. I wanted to enjoy the best Indian food ever.
I wanted to eat, enjoy myself, go to a London tea house and eat crumpets and all those things.
But I was actually stressed thinking of how poorly I would feel getting kicked out of ketosis. So that was really the trigger for me to try this product out. I met someone on social media, I did not know her at all but we developed a friendship over the interwebs.
She told me about ketones and I was very skeptical. I was that person that did a strict keto diet, so I know what being in ketosis felt like and I knew how to do it. I didn't think that I needed any sort of supplement or how it really could benefit me, but I brought them on this trip.

As of this week, my mom has lost 85 pounds in this past year, eating lower carb and keto, trying to be as strict as she can, while still enjoying herself. She's been drinking ketones twice a day and moving her body. I'm just so proud of her.
And so this business has really changed everything. Now I get to do this one thing that I wanted, and I didn't even really know that I wanted this. I wanted time, I was working 15-hour days running a restaurant. I wanted to be able to enjoy my holidays, I never had a holiday off. I just wanted something different, and I'm so grateful that that's something that I've been able to find and help other people through this community. So thanks for letting me share.
