Hey, Everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page. Today, I'm going to do something that I've never done before. It's a new year, so let's try something new. I'm going to do my workout for the day. I normally do a morning workout, but we stayed up super late last night.

So as I'm doing my workout, I thought I would give you some ideas on food and how to get started. Lately, I've been talking a lot about "The CORE 4 challenge" which is what our company is doing right now. It involves ketones, eating low carb, working out, moving your body, and then sharing it on social media. If you do that, you can win some great prizes.


Okay! So the workout I'm doing right now is using the X3 Bar, it's a resistance band. I committed to doing this X3 Bar for sixty days. I've also committed to doing cardio, four days a week. I don't like cardio because I prefer to lift weights, but there are pros and cons, and everybody has their own thing.

I have five moves, the first move is doing a chest press for fifteen minutes, that's my goal. For those who are asking about the spaceship behind me, it's called a red light infrared bed thing. My husband uses it, I actually have red lights all over this room and so many things that my husband uses...

The first thing I ask people is, "What are you drinking?". Because if you've got goals, you need to cut the sugar out of your drinks. You have to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. And then take each meal, one meal at a time, or you can do intermittent fasting. I usually intermittent fast three to four times a week and I realized I really should intermittent fast every day because it feels great doing it. So just one meal at a time and one day at a time...


The next move I have to do is like a cross-over thing. Okay, let's talk about the next meal, which is lunch. You can do buns off the burgers, croutons off the salad, grab a lettuce wrap. Your sandwich can be a low-carb wrap or have your breakfast for lunch. If you love breakfast food but your intermittent fasting, you can do eggs, bacon, sausage omelets and add a little bit of avocado in there, keep it simple. And then for dinner, get rid of the pasta, bread, and potatoes. Have a salad, veggies, and more protein. If you're strict keto, eat more fat. If you're dirty keto, lazy keto, low carb, then eat moderate fat because you're not eating under twenty carbs a day...

This cross-over move is harder than it looks

If you're not prepared, you might go through the drive-thru, or if you go to a restaurant then choose the best option that you can. But remember, if you are not hungry, you don't have to eat. You don't have to eat a snack at ten o'clock before breakfast or lunch. You don't have to eat a snack in between lunch and breakfast and in between lunch and dinner or after dinner. You're most likely overeating good food...

Why is sharing part of the CORE 4? It's because if you share your journey, people will be able to see what you're doing. How many of you share things that you love? Okay, I'm going to do squats now. It's a different type of movement and my husband will explain it tomorrow. I'm doing squats now with the X3 Bar, and I have to go all the way down because they're a band. One time I forgot that I had the band, I dropped it and it almost broke my foot. I have to do twenty-five reps of them.

I really would encourage you to work on your mindset

Lastly, for you to take all your goals seriously this year, I would challenge you to read a book. Why? Because If you have the right mindset, you can accomplish so much. It's just like fueling your body, drinking ketones or drinking water, and paying attention to the food that we eat. But when you go to a party, and you eat a whole bunch of sugar, you'll feel like garbage after.

I'm doing a book club, and I go through a book on my Keto Mom Facebook page. I also share it on my Instagram, almost every day. Starting tomorrow we're going through a book called "The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth" by John Maxwell. I've been doing the book club since April 2021, it's so powerful. You can wake up and own your mornings, we also just went through the 5-Second Rule. (5-4-3-2-1) Don't hit the snooze button, get your butt out of bed, and then go drink your ketones, go drink your coffee, go read, do not open that phone messenger or don't watch TikTok.

We can work on your food, your water intake, and everyone needs to drink ketones. But number one, above all of that, is your mindset. My goal is to get stronger because I'm attending a wedding in August. First wedding in a long time, I've become the older and wiser, the one with the almost teenagers. And I have to wear a strapless dress, which means I have to have good shoulders. I actually have one more move, but it's super awkward. It's called overhead, I have to sit down because I'm not strong enough. We're supposed to stand up and push it over our head, but I have to sit on my butt and do the last workout. But I'm not going to have you just watch the top of my head. Alright!
