Keto Tip (66): Keto Travel Tips

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. We decided to come to Florida for a couple of days, for a church conference.
And I had a couple of thoughts as we were traveling... "How do you stay on track if you're traveling?".
I had a couple of thoughts on choices because I was asked what I wanted for a treat on the airplane.
I'm also shaking up my ketones because I need ketones to get me through the rest of the day. So as you're tuning in if you're traveling at any point in time and maybe wrapping up the summer season, how do you stay on track?
I drink ketones, it keeps me on track. We also bring our own water bottles, and we have our own snacks in our bags. We keep it super simple.
When you go to a restaurant you can also order whatever you want because you can choose. So you can choose to take the buns off the burgers, or croutons off the salad. Don't overthink your options as you're traveling.
Pack some snacks in your bag like almonds. You get to choose what you want to eat, so just keep it simple. I think traveling in general and staying on track is 100% not super hard. It depends if you want to or not. You don't have to, and that's why you drink ketones to help you stay on track.
We were sitting in the airplane and the stewardess asked us what we wanted for snacks. We already have water, and then she said "Do you want some chips?", "Do you want some granola?", "Do you want some almonds?", or "Do you want a cookie?"...
This is where people might go, "Oh, it's not a big deal. Just grab the cookie". But your choices matter. So if I grabbed the cookie on the airplane, I wouldn't see the result of the cookie right away. I probably will feel it, but the results of eating one cookie might not be a big deal.
What I want you to realize is that every day you have choices. People might say "I don't know, I'm overwhelmed and confused". But every day you get up and you choose...
Workout or not workout
Drink water or drink pop
Intermittent fast or eat breakfast
And then you've got to choose what to have for breakfast. You choose to pack your lunch and plan for the week. Or you choose to go out to eat and eat something that you wouldn't have normally eaten. You choose to sit on the airplane and choose between the cookie or the almonds.
"1% better, 1% worse"
Get it in your mindset that your choices right now, while you might not see or feel them in a week. But by the end of the year, your choices will get you 1% better or 1% worse every single day. Ultimately, by the end of the year, you will get the results of the decisions that you've made.
