Hey! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie and we are going to dive in to "Focus". What you get is what you look for, what you get is what you are focused on. And that's what we're diving into, from this book "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy. We are diving into Action steps... What do we have to do? How are we going to get focused? What are we going to focus on? What do I do with a vision and a dream? I don't have a vision and a dream. How do I get one? How do I find it? Where do I start? That's what we're doing. So, as you're tuning in, where are you tuning in from? Good morning! This is the book we're going through, it's called "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy.

Welcome to day 7 of our Book 6 session

We go through a book every single morning. Are you reading the book along with me or following along here? If you have your own book, I would love to know if you are doing the activities. Are you doing the activities? Are you taking time to dream? Are you taking time to write things down or are you just watching? I love learning from people, I love reading, I love listening to podcasts, and I love thinking. I want to get better at this, so I love to find somebody who's done it before me. And I'm constantly learning...

For example, when I wanted to do the Keto diet in the beginning, I had to learn. I had to go find people that have already done it. I've had to watch, and learn about recipes. I had to learn, put it all up here in my mind, and then the key was Consistent Action.

So if you're listening, and you have a desire, then I hope you're taking action. Because if you're not, you're going to watch a whole bunch of other people take action, accomplish their goals, and accomplish their dreams. Then you're going to say "Ugh! I guess it wasn't for me", or "Nope! Everybody else but me"... So the key here is action, and I'm going to talk about another book in just a second. So if you're brand new to the page, every morning I come on here and we talk about a book. Mindset! Mindset Matters and I think it's the most important thing when you're diving into a Keto lifestyle. Why? Because if you get up, and you're crabby, you hit your alarm clock, you didn't do the things that you wanted to do, and you're constantly griping at yourself, because you listen to yourself the most. There's comparison and there's other people's voices that come into your mind, but you listen to yourself the most. Are you telling yourself "I can't do this", "I'll never do this", "I'll never be this size", "I'll never accomplish this", "I slept in again, I'm such a loser", "I went through the drive thru and grabbed the donut, I'm such a loser"...

Your Mindset Matters! Work on that first!
You have to work on your mindset, so that when you get up, you're prepared to take on the battles and the challenges of the day.

You've got goals like "I'm not going to have the doughnut", "I'm not going to hit my alarm clock", "I might be tired, but I'm going to get up and do what I need to do"... So you've got to drive! I believe that most people's mindset is defeating and they're defeating themselves. And so that's why we read, and then throughout the day, I'll share different recipes, tips and tricks and all the Keto things with you.

Yesterday, we went through the book and we are finishing up chapter three, we're on page forty one. If you're actually following along, we're just going to go through page forty one through forty four and we are ending up at chapter four by the end of the day. Yesterday, I talked about how we are going to start writing 101 things that you have desires for in your entire life.

So get a piece paper out, and start making a list of things that you want to accomplish in your entire life. Start dreaming! Nothing is off limits. Don't think about the time or the money, but just what do you want.

Yesterday, we talked about writing five to ten things out. Preferably ten, but five to ten things that you can accomplish by the end of the year. They have to be S.M.A.R.T. goals, which means they have to be Specific, Measurable, Action oriented, Realistic and Time Sensitive. Now, here's the reason why you're going to do that, we're going to finish up on writing ten things you can accomplish by the end of the year. It has to be "Specific",... "I want to lose ten pounds by December 31st", "I want to lose fifteen pounds by December 31st", "I want to work out five days a week, consistently for the next one hundred twenty days", "I want to meal prep every Sunday, so I can take my lunch every single day to work for the rest of the year"... Does that make sense? It has to be what I want to do this by December 31, 2021. That is your Specific and Measurable... "I'm going to set my alarm clock at six", "I'm going to get up, I'm going to do these things. These are my specific actions, and that's what you're doing for the rest of the year.

Your Goals must always be S.M.A.R.T.

We've got five to ten goals. Now, for the next thirty days, you are going to take those five or ten goals and you're going to write them out every single morning. Get your paper, get your notebook, put it by your bed stand, put it in your kitchen as you're making your coffee or your Ketones. And all you're going to do is jot those lists of things, and write them out every single day.

"Where there are no goals, neither will there'll be significant accomplishments. There will only be existence"... Do not just exist! Do not just watch! Everybody has a goal, even if it's one. Everybody has something inside of them that they want to accomplish.

You just have to believe that you can do it, I believe in you, you can do it and here's how. Okay! "Focus is the number one key ingredient to achieving your biggest dreams and your goals. You will get what you focus on, good or bad. You must get laser focused on what you want to achieve in the next twelve months"... She says twelve months, she even said like five months. But if you wanted to, you could think about your five to ten goals, and you could say I want to accomplish them by December 31st. She's going to say I'll give you a year, but I think it would be great to really knock out some checks off your list, in the next one hundred twenty days.

Okay, so she gives you an example... Take two seconds and I want you to look around your house. Take ten seconds, and I want you to look around your house for everything that's blue. Okay! Stop for a second, and look around your house. I see a lot of blue things. I've got blue post it notes, sweatshirts, tons of blue books, water bottles, pictures, more water bottles, my Alexa screen, towels. Okay, I'm looking for everything that's blue, I've got blue paintings, the sky is blue, my water is blue. Alright! Now I have a question for you. How many Red things did you see? I can tell you all the blue things that I saw. Books, water bottles, post it notes, sweatshirts, Alexa's scree, sky, water, there's towels over here. There's a whole bunch of stuff on my floor and it was all blue. I can't tell you one red thing that I saw. Can you tell me? Don't look, but is there anything Red that you saw? She talks about something called your R.A.S, or Reticular Activating System. Okay! When you focus on the list of goals for the next thirty days, you have your five to ten things and you write them out for thirty days, she said "When you focus on the list of goals, you will recognize the opportunities all around you to achieve these dreams and goals. You only recognize what you focus on"...

Your R.A.S will help you look for opportunities
So when you write down these ten things for the next thirty days, it gets into your mind. And then you're mind is going to look for opportunities for you to achieve those goals. That is your Reticular Activating System.

When you buy a car, you think you're the only person that has that car. But then all of a sudden you leave the parking lot, and everybody has that same car. When you buy a certain outfit or when you do something you think you're the only person doing it, and then all of a sudden everybody has done it or everybody has it. It's your Reticular Activating System. Your brain has gone "Oh my goodness", and then you look for it because you have it or you've achieved it. Same thing with your goals, you're going to write these things down and you're going to be focused on them every single day and then you're brain is going to look for opportunities.

You always get what you look you focus on the most. That's why it's so important to focus on what you do want, and not on what you don't want. Stop getting up and saying, "I don't want to be crabby", "I'm so sick of waking up late, but I'm always late", "I'm always going to be overweight"... Stop it!

"The Law of Attraction is about seeing what you're looking for. If you really don't know what you're looking for, you surely won't get it"... Alright! We've got our Reticular Activating System. When you get clear about your goals, you will give instructions to your R.A.S, just start looking for ideas, opportunities, resources, and relationships that line up with your personal goals. You start recognizing that these things are being attracted to you. Same thing, buy a car, see it everywhere. Write down your goals every single day, get focused, and you're going to start seeing opportunities. "The biggest key to success in any area is consistency. You are regularly going to write down your goals for thirty days. You're consciously thinking about them every single day. This key behavior of repetition is what causes your desires to elevate and your motivation to skyrocket"...

She talks about this book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. I think we should go through this book when we're done with this. So in October, we're going to go through the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. It's not what you think, I actually didn't read this book for a long time because I didn't love the cover. I was like "I'm not going to think and grow rich", why would I do that?" But the book is incredible, it's an old school book. It's not a fast read, like some of these other books. There's a lot of writing, and it's going to take us a little bit of time to get through the book. It's incredible!

Napoleon Hill is amazing. He also wrote a book called "Outwitting the Devil", it was unbelievable! They were not allowed to publish the book until him, his wife and his family passed away, because they did not want the judgment of people. Unbelievable! If you just want a random book, go read that one. Here's the book we're going to do next, "Think and Grow Rich". The reason I say that is because he's wicked smart.

But going back, here's what she said "In the book years ago, Napoleon Hill, was hired by Andrew Carnegie to go and interview the most successful people in the world. Five hundred billionaires, and from all of his research over twenty years, which he did not get paid for. He concluded that each of these super achievers had one thing in common clear, defined written goals"...

All of them did! Clear, Defined and Written goals... So today, your action step is to take time, if you have not done it, get a notebook out, write down ten goals. Because that's going to be something you're going to accomplish in the next year. Or you could do three to five goals, I would say five, that you want to accomplish by the end of this year. You got four months, you can do it. But realistically, she says twelve to eighteen months, write down your top ten goals that are S.M.A.R.T. goals. Specific, Measurable, Action oriented, Realistic, and Time sensitive. You're going to write them down, write them every single day, for the next thirty days. "Goals are not only absolutely necessary to motivate us, they're essential to really keep us alive"...

So we're ending chapter three, and we're at chapter four, we'll start that tomorrow. I want you to write out your goals come tomorrow, with five to ten goals written down. Realistically, you've got twelve months to accomplish them. But I think it would be great if you've got five goals that you could dive into and start creating consistent action by the end of the year.

So this is the book we're going through, it's "Dream it. Pin it. Live it" by Terri Savelle Foy. I hope you're enjoying it, and I would love for you to tune in every single morning. If you want to grab the next book for next month, it's called "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. And for "Dream it. Pin it. Live it", if you don't have it, you can grab it. Go to www.terri.com, you can go through it and we're going to create a vision board at the end of the month. Otherwise, as always, you can ask questions reach out, I'm here to help you.

And I like to end with this saying just so I don't forget it "As I think, so I feel". As I think, so as you're looking at things and you're thinking negative or positively about yourself, so I feel. It creates emotions. "As I feel, so I do". If you're feeling like garbage, you do the actions you don't want to do like you eat the doughnut. As I feel empowered because I thought and I filled my mindset with something that is going to grow me every single morning. "As I think, so I feel". "As I feel because I feel empowered, so I do". So I take the actions to go towards my goals. "As I do, so I have"...

"As I think, so I feel". "As I feel, So I do". "As I do, So I have"... I would encourage you to say that every single day.

I hope you guys have an incredible afternoon or Incredible morning. I appreciate you all and I'm here to help. Have a great day.
