Benefits of Intermittent Fasting

Your body actually needs around 16 to 18 hours to actually start burning fat and start utilizing what you already ate. But if you're eating from the time you go to bed and as soon as you wake up, your body is going to keep going.

Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie.I have so much to share about intermittent fasting, gaining holiday weight, metabolism, and things that I've learned at this event.

We learned from doctors like Dr. Ken Ford, who has done some incredible things throughout his entire life, between boards that have to do with health and NASA and the world. This man is a genius, and he's here talking about ketones because of what it does for people.

So unbelievable! I'm going to give you the Keto Mom version of a couple things that I've learned. I want to give you a couple highlights of intermittent fasting. Who intermittent fasts here? I know the power of intermittent fasting, but I didn't know all of the benefits. Intermittent fasting in general to me is not eating breakfast or simply not eating as much food.

Dr. Ryan Lowery and Dr. Jacob Wilson talked about why holidays make you fat and how to avoid it. Over the next couple of days I'm going to really hone in on this topic.

They said that from the ages of 25, 36 and 45, people gain a lot of fat. And 52% of the weight gain happens over the holidays from October until the beginning of the year. So think over the span of 90 days, people are ramping up for all the holidays, candy, sweets and parties. Most people would gain the most amount of their weight at the end of the year. Then by January, their mindset shifts and they restart, it's on and off.

What's causing people to gain fat?

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀?

I was like, "They're just eating sugar". They say the average person gains anywhere from 1, 2 or all the way up to 10 pounds over the holidays. The doctors talked about metabolism. Some people process food better and have a higher metabolism and their are those with a lower metabolism.

1. NOT MOVING YOUR BODY

Most people are also not moving as much. They're sitting around the house, enjoying family and friends, but physically moving way less. So that was number one.

2. AMOUNT OF SUGAR CONSUMED

The amount of sugar and consistently overeating throughout the entire day.

INTERMITTENT FASTING

Intermittent Fasting was talked about all weekend. Most people will have about a 9-hour window when you're done eating at night. And then you wake up in the morning, your body has time to digest before you start eating again. But during the holidays, most people's window of when food digests and intermittent fasting lowers down to about seven hours.

So they're eating way too much food, their bodies do not even have enough time to process the food.

And when they wake up, they immediately start with the cookies, cakes, pies and just different food in general. So their already too short window time for digesting has went lower, they're moving less, and eating more sugar.

Your body actually needs around 16 to 18 hours to actually start burning fat and start utilizing what you already ate. But if you're eating from the time you go to bed and as soon as you wake up, your body is going to keep going.

I actually walked up to Dr. Ryan Lowery with another girl next to me, she was asking about fat loss. He told the girl to try intermittent fast. Start small, try intermittent fasting two times a week. That means you're going to stop eating after dinner, let's say 7 o'clock and go all the way to the next day, around 11 o'clock, that's 16 hours. It's basically skipping breakfast.

It's getting your body to process all of the food you ate in your intermittent fasting window. It's going to start burning your fat to help you feel better. We're going to start working into it. You're going to fuel your body correctly, drink your water, yand move your body.

I'm also shaking a brand new flavor of ketones because this is one of the first things I do in the morning. Ketones helps me eat better foods. I listened to four keto doctors and I did an interview with Dr. Andi and Dr. Ryan, and they're both so amazing.

They're both ketogenic doctors or scientists and they understand ketones. We heard from Dr. Jacob, Dr. Ryan, Dr. Andi and Dr. Ken Ford. They all said that the ketogenic diet, from the actual terms of how it was meant to be, is not sustainable for most people. But if they can understand intermittent fasting, moving their bodies 10,000 steps a day, and the power of drinking ketones.

They all talked about the power of eating within this period of time. You're not going to overeat, and so they said that if you can do Intermittent Fasting five days a week, be focused, have that fasting window, eat in those timeframes, you won't have to force feed yourself or snack all day long.

You should go Google Dr. Ken Ford, he's a genius. The basic idea was not overeating food. Have an awareness of getting your steps on, drinking your water, and not eating so much garbage.

We're going to hone in on intermittent fasting. Because if people want fat loss, to feel better and work towards incredible goals for your health and fitness in 2023, then this is something that we're going to focus on. So be aware of how many steps you're getting in this next season.

I listened to Dr. Ryan coach the girl right next to me, and he told her that she needed to get her steps in. If you want some fat loss, you need to move. You don't have to run, you don't have to do some crazy workout. If you can do a high intensity workout, some weights, or a little bit of higher cardio maybe three times a week then that's great.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲.
Some people don't realize that they're just sitting around drinking and eating sugar.
So you can do a 15 to 30 minute walk in the morning and afternoon.

You can also do a high intensity workout once to 3x times a week. And you can also park further away from the store. So whether it's groceries or Christmas shopping, you can just suck up the cold to get your stepson and that was the biggest thing.

People are just not walking as much, and they're not moving their bodies. They're eating too much sugar and they're eating all day long. So our company has launched an intermittent fasting kit to help you get started and help you understand what that looks like. It's not available yet for everybody, but if you're a current customer, you can go log into your account and grab it.

INTERMITTENT FASTING KIT

Do you guys know who Jay Shetty is?

𝗝𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗛𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆.

"How many times do you hear people say curiosity killed the cat. That is so wrong. People think that curiosity is bad and learning new things is scary. Curiosity didn't kill the cat, comfort killed the cat. Complacency killed the cat".

Comfort leads to complacency and people crashing down and never hitting their goals because they're comfortable.

Some people don't go to the gym because they're nervous. They don't reach out to me because they're scared to ask for help. Some feel like they've tried all the supplements before, and this will not make a difference.

Losing fat and getting healthy isn't rocket science, but it takes a couple steps of you being intentional and aware.

I could also do better at getting my steps in. I do high intensity CrossFit workouts a lot, but just the average steps from working at home, to being a homeschool mom, cleaning my house throughout the day. I don't know if I get approximately 10,000 steps doing that. I need to do it just to feel good and it's good for your body. Drinking more water and drink your ketones.

So we're going to be talking more about that, I'm really excited because the steps are not hard. They're actually very easy to do, but it's still easy not to do.

NEW FLAVOR!

Who likes gummy bears?

I'm not a candy eater, I prefer chocolate chip cookies. But this flavor is probably one of the best we've ever made.

If you're looking for energy, you need help with fat loss and eating less, ketones can help. For me, it helped with my energy and I don't take naps. I drink it every single day because I can keep up with our four daughters and my incredible husband. For me it was really the energy, I was also able to lose the last bit of baby weight, and I'm not eating all of the cookies. Just those three things was worth it every single day.

I've been drinking it for seven and a half years. I want to walk you through it if you've never tried it. We have lots of different flavors, send me a message and we're going to chat.

Our community and the education is amazing. We're going to be doing a ton of guest calls, so if you're my current customers, I'm going to be doing some more zoom calls just for customers. I'll be answering your questions, so I'd love to hop on and chat with you more one on one.
